"El Rosario" Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary

El Rosario is located in the town of Ocampo, Michoacán, which is one of the four monarch butterfly nature reserves in Mexico and the largest butterfly nature reserve in the world. Every year from the beginning of November to March of the following year, this lofty mountain with an altitude of more than 3,200 meters and warm like spring becomes the home for hundreds of millions of monarch butterflies to inhabit and reproduce during the winter, thus forming a wonderful scene among the eight natural wonders of the world.
