    Long steep access road (6/10 mile) discouraged me from seeing the actual quarry

    Never made it to quarry as access road is 6/10 mile, a little steep and has large-ish stones scattered on it. This was too much for my 70 year old knees even though I walk over a mile daily on a rail ...

    Excellent hiking trails with lots of abandoned materials

    We went here during a recent visit to Lenox, MA. The trails are excellent and there are so many abandoned items from when the quarry was open. There are plaques with information and trail maps posted....
