Beijing Shengquan Mountain Scenic Attraction is a natural Buddhist holy land and a Buddhist cultural place in Huairou. Beijing Shengquan Mountain Scenic Area is 6 kilometers away from Huairou City, facing the thousand-year-old Hongluo Temple in the east and Mutianyu in the west. It covers a total area of ​​15 square kilometers. It is backed by Yanshan Mountain, magnificent and magnificent, and in front of Huaisha River, with beautiful scenery. Shengquan Mountain integrates natural, cultural landscapes, Buddhism, history and culture. It is a pure land of Buddhism and a Zen wonderland.

Since ancient times, countless visitors have speculated and guessed, and their opinions have diverged, which has led to many magical legends among the people. These stories have been passed down from mouth to mouth, making the Shengquan Mountain Guanyin Temple famous. Believers, curiosity seekers, and saint visitors come in an endless stream, each with their own experiences, making the Shengquan Mountain Guanyin Temple not desolate despite being located in the deep mountains, and far away from human beings, but still very popular.

According to the inscriptions on the Guanyin Temple, the temple was first built in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt during the Chenghua period of the Ming Dynasty. It has a history of more than 1,700 years. In addition to the cultural landscapes such as the Main Hall, the Great Compassion Hall, and the Yuantong Hall, the natural landscapes Souvenir the temple are very rich, including the Turtle Stone, the Three Star Cave, the Incense Burner Stone, and the Lingzhao Pine. According to folk legend, the famous female general Fan Lihua of the Tang Dynasty guarded the northern border of Youzhou. Once she fought with the Northern Kingdom, she was trapped under Jiulong Mountain (now Shengquan Mountain). The enemy was strong and we were weak, and her life was hanging by a thread. In a hurry, Fan Lihua clasped her hands and cried out: "Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva appeared! Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva save me!" Upon hearing the call for help, Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva immediately enlightened the nine lying green dragons on Jiulong Mountain and asked them to rescue and achieve a special cause and effect. The nine green dragons gladly accepted the order and immediately raised wind and rain, and it rained heavily over the military formation. The two warring parties were drenched by the heavy rain and could not open their eyes or raise their arms, and they were busy taking care of themselves. In the chaos, Fan Lihua led her soldiers to rush and break through the siege. Afterwards, Fan Lihua was grateful for the life-saving grace of Guanyin Bodhisattva, so she built a temple and a statue for Guanyin Bodhisattva in the Yunxing area of ​​Jiulong Mountain to worship.

Over the years, wind and rain have eroded the Tang Dynasty buildings, but the remaining roots of two ancient locust trees can still be seen on the west side of the main hall in Guanyin Temple and the southeast corner of Wei Tuo Hall, with a diameter of more than 1.5 meters. After the Tang Dynasty, during the Liao, Jin and Yuan dynasties, the Shengquan Mountain area was in social unrest and the population migrated frequently. The stories of the Shengquan Mountain Guanyin Temple were mostly lost in history. The long-standing Buddhist culture and formal Buddhist worship traditions have been the tourist highlights of the Shengquan Mountain Attraction since it was renovated and opened in 2006. Together with the folk tourism launched thereafter, they constitute the main body of Shengquan Mountain tourism.

Shengquan Mountain is not named as one of the Five Great Mountains, but it has the momentum of the Five Great Mountains. Looking around, you can see high mountains, peaks, and valleys between them. It is far away from the hustle and bustle of the world and enjoys the natural atmosphere. From the foot of the mountain to the "Chanlin Chunxiao" section, the altitude difference is 288 meters, and the average slope of the mountain trail is 25 degrees, which is suitable for mountaineering and fitness; from the "Chanlin Chunxiao" to the Guanyin Temple section, there are lush pines and cypresses, tree-lined roads, mountain birds singing, and fresh air, which is suitable for strolling and sightseeing.
