It was pretty plain, A bit boring for me no offense, But i got a bit too bored since i didn’t know any history about the Tiananmen square and now that i know, Its pretty interesting to me now. So i recommend knowing the history of any kind of attraction before going to actually understand everything about it.

To have the best view of the flag raising ceremony in the morning, most visitors arrive early to save a position to see that ceremony. To enter the mausoleum of Mao Ze Dong you will need a valid passport or a Chinese National ID. Tiananmen Square is under constant security restrictions, flammable items, explosives, knives and other dangerous items are prohibited and confiscated going through the security checkpoints at the pedestrian tunnels.

Great experience being in Tiananmen Square, friendly people who are happy to guide you and advise what to do. Make sure you book your visit via their government website, or it gets tricky to get in the area.
Remember to book your visit to Tiananmen Square via their site, they have the details online. Was a nice experience being out there, and they’re super friendly too. Managed to get some decent pics.
One of the interesting attractions is the Chinese national flag raising and lowering ceremony which is held every day in the morning and evening. U
Is a must visit place when you in Beijing.unfortunately I do not book in advance in my last visit in Jan 2024zis a amazing China Ming dynasty building is a symbol of old China in modern day.must visit!!
