This gate is annexed to the homonimous tower, which is one of the only two left. This is the entrance to possibly the most important historical area of the city.
One of several city gates, leading into what is know as the castle area of the city. Located adjacent to the Torre di San Pancrazio, which was under renovation when we were there.

The St Pancrace* Gate is one of the gates of access to the old fortified city, built in 1305, during the dominance of Pise (1258-1326), near the tower of the same name.

Old ‘gate’-entrance to the old fortified part of the city
This is one of the old/medieval part of Cagliari. It’s nice/interesting but not worth making a special trip (out of your way).
