Jia Yi (200 BC - 168 BC) was a native of Luoyang, Henan. A famous political commentator, writer and thinker in the Western Han Dynasty. Jia Yi's Former Residence, also known as Jia Taifu Temple and Jia Taifu's Former Residence, is located at No. 28 Taiping Street, Changsha City. In 177 BC, Jia Yi lived here when he was the Taifu of Changsha. The former residence of Jia Yi has always been an important place for the activities of officials and gentlemen.
