Was expecting a little more than an observation platform. Nice view of the river, but the ducks were too far away to really identify, even with the scope. Saw a couple of micro birds, but no eagles.
We drove out of town via the 30 so why not take this little side trip. We had read reviews seeings an actual eagle was unlikely it didn’t deter us. We enjoyed the five minute round about. Stopped and...
We've visited several times, and have yet to see an eagle. We've seen them over downtown Astoria. Still it's a good spot to stop off at along highway 30, if you want a break.
No eagles
First stop into the town of Astoria. Marshy wetlands. A few birds but no eagles or nests in sight. Saw some fake ones across the street
