Shiyang Confucius Temple

The Shiyang Confucius Temple, also known as Shiyang Confucian Temple, is located at the foot of Xiangling Mountain, built in the first year of Ming Hongwu (1368 AD), and rebuilt in the 37th year of Ming Wanli (1609 AD). The Confucian Temple covers an area of 6584 square meters, and its architectural style is arranged in the courtyard form of the ancient Chinese palace, focusing on the vertical and horizontal axis and highlighting the main building, that is, the main building on the central axis is arranged, and the attached building is placed on both sides to form a large-scale complex. The Confucius Temple is the main body of Dacheng Palace (confucius bronze statue), and the same horizontal axis of Dacheng Palace, with Zhuzi Pavilion (confucius statue) on the left, and the Cangsheng Palace on the right (confucius statue); The south of the Dacheng Palace is the Dacheng Gate, and there are two crisscrossing parallel east and west (the statue of the seventy-two wise men who worship Confucius) in the two, forming an ancient courtyard house; Dachengmen is the front of the star gate, it is the main gate of the entire Confucian Temple, between Dachengmen and the star gate are famous and township Xianxuan, and a exquisite and sophisticated courtyard has also been formed. The bronze statue of Confucius in Dacheng Palace was cast in 1708 AD 47 years ago, high 2.3 meters, full body gold, head wearing crown, hand holding the pilgrimage, sitting on the end. Regarding its weight, its size, its casting process exquisitely, and the preservation of the intact in China, no one is comparable to it, and it is the largest Confucius statue in existence today. In the hall, there are also nine pieces of the "Master's Table", "Join the Heaven" and "Saint Collection Dacheng", which are dazzling in red and gold characters.
