    Only 10-15 minutes walk up from Schwabentor

    Only a short (but steep) walk up from Freiburg city centre. Kanonenplatz is a big open area with great views over the city and countryside. The path continues up to higher lookouts.

    The viewing area from where the wonderful view of the city is opened. The main thing that immediately throws eyes is the certified flatness of the buildings, although the area's relief, to put it mildly, is quite complicated for that.
