Best Halls Gap walk for us
After walking the Pinnacle and the Balconies we voted the Chataqua Peak walk the best. Gentle uphill from the carpark behind the rec ground. Good sign posting. Astounding views. The last stretch offer...
Breathtaking views
We started out to see Venus Baths and then decided to head on up to the peak. You need to be moderately firm& wearing decent footwear. The terrain on the way up is a mixture of stone steps, paths & of...
It’s all about the view.
This is a good walk for the moderately fit. The view is good, as are many around Halls Gap. Take water.
Decent hike for a great reward
Start of climb is close to town. Moderate climb. Few areas where you need to climb over rocks. Dont be surprised if few kangaroos meet you on the way up. Great views from the top! Must do.
It was very windy
It was very windy the day we climbed this so I think we never made it to the top as we were worried we were going to get blown off. There were even mountain goats up here, lovely view to.
