Huachong Park in Hefei City is one of the eight major parks in the general plan of Hefei City approved by the State Council. It belongs to Hefei Landscape Bureau. It was founded in 1959. In 1979, with the approval of the municipal government, Hefei Huachong Park was officially established. The Park was officially opened to the public on July 1, 1994. Located in Yaohai District, Hefei City, the park is 3 kilometers north of the East Yangtze River Road, 2 kilometers away from the city center, 2 kilometers away from the Hefei New Railway Station and 14 kilometers east of the Hefei-Ningxia Expressway. It is located between the first and second rings of Hefei City. The traffic is very convenient. The existing area of the park is 165 mu, and the water surface is more than 20 mu. At present, there are 26,000 trees and 218,000 square meters of lawn, which is a relatively perfect city-level garden green space in Yaohai District.
