Lan Kwai Fong is an electric, buzzing, and stimulating Hong Kong district that I discovered years ago almost by accident. Every year, when possible, a group of friends and I travel to Hong Kong for the Clockenflap international music festival on Kowloon. In addition to the phenomenal performances on stage, a huge part of the experience is getting lost in Lan Kwai Fong and discovering new bars, restaurants, pop up food stands, and dance spots - in a glorious maze of excitement that seems to change every year. I especially enjoyed finding friends and catching up on the massive stairwell that seems to run right through the middle of the district. You'll know it when you see it!

We found a Japanese set meal restaurant online, so we went to try it out! The restaurant is a two-story cafe decorated with a Japanese artistic theme. The cafe is not very big but it's very comfortable to sit in. We ordered two Japanese business lunches. In addition to the main course, the set meal comes with salad or oden, an appetizer or soup, onsen egg, and sesame udon. First came my iced fresh milk coffee, and the young master's special drink called 'flower fall'. 'Flower fall' is a cherry blossom and lychee special drink. The young master said it tasted good and was very refreshing. My main dish was the fragrant pan-seared salmon. The salmon was thick and the flesh was very smooth, and it was cooked to a delicious level. I paired it with tamagoyaki and oden. Lan Kwai Fong is an electric, buzzing, and stimulating Hong Kong district that I discovered years ago almost by accident. Every year, when possible, a group of friends and I travel to Hong Kong for the Clockenflap international music festival on Kowloon. In addition to the phenomenal performances on stage, a huge part of the experience is getting lost in Lan Kwai Fong and discovering new bars, restaurants, pop up food stands, and dance spots - in a glorious maze of excitement that seems to change every year. I especially enjoyed finding friends and catching up on the massive stairwell that seems to run right through the middle of the district. You'll know it when you see it!
