St Andrew's Church

St. Andrew's Church is a church with a long history in Kowloon. It was built with donations from Sir Chater in 1904. The more than 100-year-old St. Andrew's Church has experienced the same weather as other churches in Hong Kong, except that it has been hit by many typhoons; During the Japanese occupation, the chief priest of the church was imprisoned, and the church was converted into a Japanese Shinto shrine. St. Andrew's Church is in the Gothic Revival style, with red brick exterior walls, pointed arched windows, curved window lattices and stained glass windows. There are many fine carvings inside, exuding elegance continental colors. The towering trees in the courtyard filter the sunlight into elegant light and shadow, and the lawn in the afternoon is particularly peaceful, which is worth taking a break.
