Daliangjiang Ancient Village

The Daliangjiang Ancient Village is located in the west of Jingxing County, Hebei Province. Because it is hidden in the mountains, its ancient style and appearance have been completely preserved. There is a complete Ming and Qing architectural complex here. The houses are made of stone as the main material, with wooden doors and windows, green tiles and blue bricks, and flying eaves. It is magnificent and shows people the former glory of a generation of Shanxi merchants. Some people call it the "Qiao Family Courtyard" in Hebei.

The most representative building in Daliangjiang Village in Jingxing is the "One House and Nine Courtyards" of the "Military Scholar", which covers an area of ​​two mu and has 100 houses. Entering a gate, you can walk through the nine courtyards, with courtyards within courtyards, buildings within courtyards, buildings on top of buildings, courtyards on top of buildings, buildings connecting to buildings, and courtyards connecting to courtyards. It can be said to be a large house in the deep mountains. It has become the best preserved and largest one discovered in Shijiazhuang since the third national cultural relics survey.

Not far from the "One House and Nine Courtyards", a thousand-year-old tree bears witness to the history of the ancient village. According to research, this old locust tree was planted in the Tang Dynasty, and it has a history of more than 1,000 years. The heart of the old locust tree has withered, with only part of the bark alive. The entire tree body has tilted to the southeast and is supported by a small arched archway by the villagers. It grows upwards again, still luxuriant and tall. The bark of the old locust tree is vigorous and wrinkled, and the branches are twisted and twisted.

The main streets in the village include Shangjie, Xiajie, Zhongjie and 5 alleys, with a total length of 3,700 meters and a width of 2 to 4 meters. The streets are staggered and crisscrossed, paved with bluestone or cobblestone. The square warehouse is built accordingly. The overall layout of the quadrangle courtyard is unique, with clear functional divisions, and it is a typical representative of the ancient residential buildings in the village.
