It seems that the temple was originally the seclusion place of imperial Prince korehiko in his later years, which is called 'onomiya Gosho (also known as takaunomiya no Miya).' There is an interesting story here, and it seems that there was a custom that the villagers dedicate the song "Tamura" or not approach the temple.
