Este museo presenta una de las colecciones más extensas de Carlos Monsiváis, con más de 20 mil piezas que lo conforman. La esquina que ocupa El Estanquillo destaca por su arquitectura y vitrales. Este edificio es conocido también como La Esmeralda y fue inaugurado a finales de 1892 como joyería. En la actualidad puedes disfrutar de exposiciones temporales y fijas; no te pierdas subir hasta la terraza, con unas vistas hermosas de los edificios aledaños.
Museo interesante, pero especialmente las vistas desde la terraza del zocalo capitalino, donde hay una librería y una cafetería. Suele haber exposiciones temporarias interesantes.
