It was created around 1897 as a garden for the Takahashi family's villa, the landlord of Kamiya. Many plants such as 150 ~ 200-year-old maple trees, mountain cherry blossoms, and azaleas are planted on the site of about 4,000 square meters. The most planted Iroha maple is a kind of maple that is wild on the Pacific side of the Kyushu region from the north, and it is thought that the Takahashi family transplanted an excellent variety from Kyoto, where the business activity was carried out. The former Koshiji Town was donated in 1989. ... during the autumn leaves season
The autumn leaves season is very beautiful, and when it is lit up, it is very spectacular. It's hard to climb the slope, and the parking lot feels too small, but there seems to be a large parking lot on the slope, which seems to be close.
A 15-minute walk from Raigyoji Station, it is a maple garden on the mountain where Koshiji Junior High School is located. Around November, the top of the mountain is lit up. There is also a teahouse on the mountain where you can eat meat udon noodles. When I went at night, the road to the mountain was pitch black and it was hard to know where the entrance was. The night view of Nagaoka that you can see from now on is also beautiful.
It is located near Raigyoji Station on the Shin-Etsu Main Line. If you drive up the slope, you will find Koshiji Junior High School, and there is a maple garden next to it. There are several parking lots, and it seems that there are first, second, and temporary. Admission is free. There was an open-air bath in front of the entrance, and local Asahiyama, amazake, and buns were sold. It was the beginning of November, so it seems that it was a little early for the autumn leaves to bloom.
It is a spot of autumn leaves where you can easily drive from downtown Nagaoka. It is a little hill and the surrounding scenery is beautiful. Cars are also easy to park.
