Qixia Ancient Temple Sheli Tower

Nanjing Qixia Mountain Sheli Tower, originally built in the first year of Renshou, the latter several times destroyed, the existing Nantang building, five-level and eight-sided dense, Sumi and tower body are full of reliefs. Among them, the eight phases of the Sumizu devastation, the first layer of the tower body Wenshu Puxian phase (Wenshuxiang has been destroyed) and the four major heavenly king reliefs are the most beautiful.

Near Xia Temple. On the right side outside Qixia Temple is the Sheli Tower, which was built in the first year of Renshou (601) of the Emperor Yuan Wendi. It is made of white stone and is about 15 meters high. There are stone railings on all sides of the tower, and the base is the Sumi. The Shelita and the nearby Nan Dynasty built the Thousand Buddha Rock Grottoes, collectively known as the "The Wild Goose Pagoda Thousand Buddha Rock", are the most famous national treasure of Qixia. The Shelita is beautifully shaped, not only a representative work of stone carving art in the southern part of the Sui and Tang Dynasty, but also a precious object for studying ancient Buddhism, art and culture.

The mountain road outside the south wall of the Qixia Temple Sheli Tower is not far east. It was built as a wooden tower. The existing tower was built in the southern Tang Dynasty. This tower is a rare five-generation Miyu-style tower in southern China, and its Mibu tower body exquisite carving, can be called a beautiful sculpture artwork, for Tang and Song Dynasty Jiangnan stone carving representative work. Now a national key cultural relics protection unit.

栖霞山向来以“隋塔、唐碑、千佛岩”名气天下。其中的“隋塔”指的始建于隋朝仁寿元年（601年）的舍利塔（据说原为五层方形木塔，现存石塔系五代南唐重建）。隋文帝杨坚下诏天下八十三州营建舍利塔，其中以蒋州（南京）栖霞寺为首。这是我们著名的佛教建筑艺术杰作。舍利塔高18.73米，五级八面密檐式，舍利塔雕刻精美，装饰华丽。此塔现为全国重点文物保护单位。
