Nara Park#japantrip When you're visiting Osaka or Kyoto, then Nara should be on the menu as well! Nara Park is a magnificent place full of temples and shrines dating back for centuries. The buildings and shrines represent the peace, harmony, dedication, and discipline of the Japanese people. The Buddha in the giant wooden building (one of the biggest wooden structures in the world!) Is a must see as well. Inside the main temple you can "buy" a roof tile for 2,000 yen on which you can write a prayer, your name, or whatever you like. No, you're not taking the roof tile home but they will use it on the roof of one of the sacred buildings when an old tile needs to be replaced. Inside the park there are many deer which you can feed cookies/crackers they sell at the location for 200 yen/pack. The deer will actually bow before getting their treat! Note: only feed the deer with the food you can buy for them in the park! It took us a full day to walk around and visit all the buildings and shrines. It's absolutely worth it! Nara during Cherry Blossom SeasonI've been to Nara 3-4 times, but this is the first time I went during the cherry blossom peak. The whole experience was really amazing, it felt like I was looking at a Japanese landscape painting. It takes about an hour from Osaka to Nara. We arrived around 3 pm, walked towards Nara Park, took our time strolling, taking photos, eating ice cream, and played until about 5 pm before heading back to the train station and watched the sunset 😆 2-3 hours around Nara Park is enough to have a great time. If you have the chance to go to Osaka during the cherry blossom season, I believe Nara Park is a beautiful and convenient choice 😎👍Zenki C3

Nara Park is located on the east side of Nara City and at the foot of Spring Hill. The park has picturesque scenery throughout the year, living hundreds of wild sika deer on the open meadows, and the park Zhouguo also gathers places such as Dongdae Temple, Spring Festival Club and Nara Museum.
Apart from of course the feline friends that roam around the park, it’s overall an extremely beautiful place to spend a cool winters morning, even when there is hardly any vegetation and the grass is dry and brown. My favourite activity was eating at this little udon restaurant perched at the edge of Sarusawa-Ike Pond, with a Starbucks on the other side. The famous mochi shop with the pounding chefs is just down the road leading away from the Starbucks. I want to walk up Wakakusayama Hill in Nara Park and see the whole city from the top, in the future.
Nara park. all places filled with wild deer wondering around the park. you can feed them with biscuits that you can buy from the vendors. the deers can be aggressive so better be careful.
Amazing place with beautiful color during Spring and Fall season. You can spend an entire in the park alone, it has a big loop that cover 3different shrines/temples with human friendly deer roaming free around the park
