The Ruixi Palace Pagoda is located west of Liangwu Town and on the south bank of the Irrawaddy River. It was completed in 1102 AD. It is the oldest temple in Bagan, and it is also a building made of stones. It creates the classic style of the local pagoda shape, which is the prototype of Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon. There are a Buddha tooth and some Buddha bones in the Ruixi Palace Pagoda, and there are many local people who worship here. Before coming to the temple, you need to take off your shoes and walk into a 100-meter long corridor. There are many small vendors on both sides of the promenade, selling some handicrafts, and occasionally encounter a few little monks in red robes. Go to the end of the promenade, the names of the donors and the amount of donations are written on the walls on both sides. When you step out of the promenade, you can see the glittering Shwedagon Pagoda, like a miniature version of Shwedagon Pagoda. There are many pigeons on the edge of the tower, a peaceful atmosphere. Every morning, many Buddhist believers come here to pray, and the face of devout worship is impressive. The main body of the pagoda is painted with red lacquer, with a layer of gold foil attached to the outside, and the surrounding instruments and sculptures are gilded. The Ruixi Palace Tower is surrounded by 53 sculptures, including a lion, a macara (an animal that resembles a crocodile), and a toad. The base of the stupa consists of a three-tiered platform, and its treads are green wooden boards carved with traditional theatrical scenes, but it is not currently possible to climb the pagoda. It is said that buying a piece of gold foil and sticking it on the relief under the tower will bring blessings. The side hall outside the pagoda has uniform red lacquer pillars, and the top is decorated with gilt gold pagoda. A small Buddhist chapel on the southeast side of the pagoda is dedicated to 37 patron saints of the Kingdom of Bagan. The whole temple is particularly shining in the afternoon sun. There is also a small pool on the ground in front of the pagoda. You can see the reflection of the canopy on the top of the pagoda in the water, which is very interesting. In addition, a side hall in the backyard of the temple has a beautiful parquet tile floor, which is a good place to rest in the shade. After sunset, the pagoda will light up, and the dazzling Ruixi Palace Pagoda under the stars has a unique flavor.
The pagoda with a heavy weight of Bagan is exquisite and the promenade at the door can be concave. Ruixi Palace is also maintained due to the earthquake. There are some regrets. There is a small puddle in front of Ruixi Palace Tower where you can take a reflection. You can go and see it when you go.
The Ruixi Palace Buddha is a square symmetrical structure, the style is a bell-shaped solid Shwedagon Pagoda in the center, the shape is based on a 3-story square platform, and the eight-angle platform is connected to the bell-shaped tower. There is a copper pavilion on all sides of the tower, and there is a beautiful Lifo in the pavilion.
It is the founding tower, is the prototype of the modern Buddha tower in Myanmar. One of the four most famous Buddha towers in Myanmar. It is not only the largest Buddha tower in the Bagan area, but also the only stone-built pagoda in the Bagan Tower group. It has a long history and is the first Burmese-style pagoda. Love it very much!
It's so pretty.. The golden color is really shiny even if you look from a distance !!
Shwe-zi-gon Pago is offering money to pray for family and friends. Brilliant and resplendent, full of spirit. The oldest tower is also the most spectacular and magnificent one. Feeling like the # Yongon # Great Golden Tower, I began to be immune to Tuhaojin.

The Pagoda of Ruixi Palace is the oldest pagoda in the Bagan region, located in Wuzhen, Bagan Liang, and was built in 1031 during the Anulutto King, and finally completed by his son, King Jiang Xituo, in 1090. The tower is dedicated to one of four replicas of Buddha teeth given to the King of Anulut by the King of Sri Lanka. The tower is more than 40 meters high and the gilded pagoda sits on three up-shrink terraced towers. The beautiful bell-shaped structure at the top of the tower became the prototype for all the pagodas that came to be built in Myanmar. The slab on the foundation wall of the pagoda depicts the life of the Buddha in his previous life. There is a shrine on each side of the pagoda, which is four meters high. There are many temples, sculptures and small pagodas around the pagoda, which form the Ruixi Palace pagoda area.
