    This is one of the best places to enjoy "hanami" the viewing of cherry blossoms in all Nagano. The village of Obuse, a "must-see" is nearby.

    ゴールデンウィーク２日目の４月２８日に。上信越自動車道からも県道からも見ることができる。堤の桜は数キロ続く。ソメイヨシノだけでなく、枝垂れ桜も見られる。シーズン最後の桜並木は絶景であった。

    教えたくない桜の絶景

    上信越自動車道下りの小布施PAあたりから桜並木が見えてきます。「千曲川の桜堤」といわれていて、全長4キロにわたり600本の八重桜「一葉」が植えられています。この品種の八重桜は遅咲きなので、毎年ゴールデンウィーク頃に見頃を迎えますが、今年は暑さのせいか早かったです。
