I parked my car in the parking lot of the Cultural Information Center in Onna Village, and there was the Nakadomari Ruins across the road. This ruins had four shell mounds and caves in the Jomon period, and old cobblestone roads. At the entrance of the ruins, there was a stone monument written as "Historic Site Nakadomari Ruins", and there was an explanation board next to it. It is said that the remains of the Iwain residence 3,500 years ago have been discovered at Nakadomari Third Shell Mound.

石畳と貝塚

貝塚時代の遺跡と首里王府に向かう石畳道路で構成されている遺跡です。貝塚遺跡は、岩陰住居跡としては、最初に発見されたものだそうです。

古代に想いを

ココに立って、海を眺め、道を歩くと 古代、琉球人が漁をして、海を眺め 暮らしていたというのが実感できます。 自分を見つめなおす、いい機会となるでしょう。

恩納村博物館のすぐそば

恩納村博物館のすぐそばにあるので、一緒に見学するとよいと思います。平地から緩やかに崖が立ち上がっていて、右手に琉球時代の道が登っていっています。道は見てすぐとても古い道にわかりましたが、それより古い遺跡は見ただけでは分かりませんでした。
