The museum is close to the train station and is situated in an ancient Georgian building that was once part of a local hospital. On the stairs are 18 artworks, mostly portraits of local dignitaries, fossils of the Ice Age, especially marine life, and plenty of information about how Peterborough became famous through the advent of the railway.
