Laoniuwan Valley Scenic Area

Laoniuwan is the first village where the Yellow River enters the Shanxi border from Shaanxi. The terrain is staggered, the Great Wall and the Yellow River are parallel, and the military fortress Laoniuwan Fort is here, and the surrounding natural environment is good.

Laoniuwan Scenic Area, Inner Mongolia and Shanxi have one, Inner Mongolia side is basically newly built, Shanxi side is built on the basis of the original Laoniuwan Fort. Here you can visit the stone street, you can take a speedboat to feel the Yellow River's Jiuqu ileus, or watch the Great Wall and the Yellow River shake hands here.

Pianguan Laoniuwan is a section of the Jinshan Grand Canyon. Laoniuwan is the first curve of the Yellow River into Shanxi. The Yellow River and the Great Wall meet here intimately. It is considered the prelude to the Jinshan Grand Canyon movement. This is the only typical parallel location of the Great Wall and the Yellow River. Laoniu Bay, It is famous for the first handshake between the Great Wall and the Yellow River here.

Laoniu Bay is located at the junction of Shanxi Province and Inner Mongolia. It is bounded by the Yellow River. It is located in Pianguan County of Shanxi Province to the south, Qingshuihe County of Inner Mongolia to the north, and Zhungeer Banner of Ordos Plateau to the west. It is a place of Jiming City. The Yellow River enters Jin from here, and the Great Wall meets from here. The Grand Canyon of Shanxi, Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia starts from here. The vicissitudes of the Loess Plateau in China are highlighted here. At the same time, there are magnificent scenery of big rivers running. This is where the Great Wall shakes hands with the Yellow River and is one of the ten most beautiful canyons in China.

老牛湾是母亲黄河流入山西的第一站，由于地形条件的独特性，这里的石灰岩峭壁呈怪石嶙峋、犬牙交错状。长城在这里沿陡峭突兀的山峦延伸，与黄河并行向南，似两条巨龙携手飞舞。古时候，长城沿线上的军事要塞——老牛湾堡就坐落在这里。有黄河入晋第一村、天下长城第一墩，一唱雄鸡闻三县的美誉。黄河之水出河套至此拐弯流经深山峡谷奔腾南下，古长城至此逶迤东去。这里的古堡、古楼、古渡、古栈道、古庙、古村落更让人惊叹不已。
