Hubei Medical College is located in Shiyan City, Hubei Province. It is a general higher medical college with an independent Western medicine category. It has been selected into the Ministry of Education's "Excellent Doctor Education and Training Program" and "Hubei Province 2011 Plan". , engineering and management and other multidisciplinary development. The school was established in 1965, formerly known as the Yunyang Branch of Wuhan Medical College. In 1977, it began general undergraduate education. In 1986, it was renamed Yunyang Medical College of Tongji Medical University. In 1994, it was independently set up and named Yunyang Medical College. In 2010, it was approved by the Ministry of Education and changed its name to Hubei Medical College. In 2013, it was approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council as a master's degree-granting unit. In the same year, it began to hold undergraduate and postgraduate education for international students. Shenzhen Pingshan Hospital became the eighth clinical college of Hubei Medical College. According to the school's official website in January 2019, the school covers an area of 1,477.41 acres, with a school building area of 398,600 square meters, a collection of 999,800 books, and a fixed asset of 1.385 billion.
