Chau Say Tevoda Temple

Although the temple is small in size, it is worth special attention to Chinese tourists because it is maintained by the Chinese task force. Except for the better preservation of the West Tower Gate, the remaining nine monolithic buildings are seriously damaged.

The temple of Zhousa and the Nongmah are very close. The Nongmah is one of the two complete and interesting to me, but they are all great. The temple of Zhousa is a small and ornate temple (like the size of a church). It’s not a popular attraction, but it’s worth a visit if you have time.

This temple is somewhat similar to the Tomaya next to it, reminiscent of the form of Angkor Temple. This place is small in architecture and scattered in shape. This is a very special temple, just east of Bayan Temple.

A beautifully restored temple on the small Angkor circuit which seems to get overlooked and bypassed by most tourists racing between Ta Prohm and Bayon. Definitely worth half an hour to check out. It is very close to the road.

The temple is dedicated to the God of Zhou Sa, so the French named it the temple of Zhou Sa. With the palace as the starting point, the main passageway is moving towards the east. Zhou Sa Temple [Chau Say Tevoda Temple], there are sources that it is dedicated to the god of Zhou Sa, and there are also sources that it may be built to commemorate Suliya Samo I or related to the traditional ceremony left over by Suliya Samo I. It is just a small temple, which is soon finished, but it is of special significance to Chinese tourists, and it is the first phase of the Chinese government's assistance in Cambodia's restoration. When we first came here in May 2008, when Zhou Sashensa was mostly covered with repair scaffolding, it happened to be Sunday and we didn't see the Chinese team. The second time I came, it was already ten years later, and it has changed a lot and has been repaired, and there is also a pavilion on the left hand side, which displays pictures of the first and second phases of the project that the Chinese task force helped Cambodia to repair. The pavilion is quite cool and comfortable. It is tired or feels that the weather is too stuffy. It is also good to see the information pictures of the project restoration and take a break by the way.

The only ancient temple in Angkor, large and small, was repaired by the Chinese government assistance mission. The area is not very exquisite and small, and the incomplete ones are quite serious. There are relevant constructions and comparisons at the door. Looking at so many repaired ancient temples, It feels like this renovated trace is too heavy and does not have a good preservation of the essence of historical imprints.

Zhousa Temple is a famous attraction in Siem Reap and worth a visit.
