The visit was a bit of an anti-climax. Having visited the Catacombs in Paris I often made comparisons between the two. You aren't able to explore at your own pace here and there isn't reading material...

Incredible catacombs, very well explained in Italian and English by our guide who understanded that I did not understand everything and which left my friend time to translate.
