Qianfo Cave, Mati Temple

This time I visited the Horseshoe Temple Scenic Area and Qianfo Cave. I saw the hoof prints of Tianma. I climbed the 33-day Buddha Cave. It may be because of the peak summer vacation travel period. The queue is longer. It is recommended to pass early in the morning. If you don't queue, the experience will be much better.

Mati Temple is located in the Tibetan township of Mati, Yugu Autonomous County, Gansu, 65 kilometers north of Zhangye City. It is a tourist area integrating grotto art, Qilian Mountain scenery and Tibetan customs. Mati Temple is named after the legendary Tianma who has a horseshoe print in this drinking water. The legendary horseshoe prints are present in the Puguang Temple horseshoe hall, becoming the treasure of the town temple.

Just entering the main entrance of Horseshoe Temple Scenic Area is not a few hundred meters, there is a monastery and a grotto group on the right side of the road, here is the Thousand Buddha Cave. The Thousand Buddha Cave was built in the Beiliang period like the Horseshoe Temple, but the monastery on the mountain is the Lama Temple, and here is the monk temple. The caves here are not large in scale, but compared with the 33 caves on the mountain, they are another style. There is a cave road is very steep, the light is still very dark, everyone must pay attention to safety.

The Thousand Buddha Cave is close to the gate of the attraction. It is 200 meters on the right hand side. There are several holes to see, but the stairs here are also very steep, especially the road to the Yaowang store.
