Better than the observatoriy on the western side
This is one of my favorite spots in Hokkaido! The observatory of Lake Mashu on the eastern side of the lake, in my opinion, is much better than that on the western side in a sense that there are much...
This is exactly what the name says:the 'ura', or back, side of Lake Mashu. Most people who visit go to the first or third observatories, and they offer much clearer views of the entire lake, but this...

Uramashu Observatory is a large scenic spot with ample parking space. There is a large building inside with many food shops and souvenir shops. And there are many golden turtle insects as well. Lake Machu is very beautiful, the lake water is clear blue and ...
Observatory literally looking at Lake Mashu from the back
Original Text
Lake Mashu is famous for its first and third observatories, and sightseeing buses stop, and there are restaurants and souvenir shops, but the Uramashu Observatory is literally an observatory seen from the back side, and tourists are sparse. Uramashu Lake ~ Around Kamish Island, the ripples of spangles appear in the summer sunlight ~
Original Text
Under the clear sky, you can see Lake Uramashu. On the shores of the lake, the green of Mt. Mashu 々 makes the shadow darker, and the deep blue lake water spreads out that seems to be sucked in. The lake with a fantastic beauty, the sunlight is soft. A lot of tourists gather on the observation deck, focus on the Kaminupuri (Mount of God) in front of you, hear a lot of shutter sounds, the wind sound across the lake, the singing voice of birds, The wind shook the leaves of the lakeside tree 々 and the sleeves of my T shirt were also shaken.
