Lots of history and lovely staff

I can highly recommend this place to visit. It is full of history and background information at the museum and it's possible to go up the monument. The staff was exceptionell welcoming and helpful.

Small but worth it

Went in December, the obelisk was closed for the winter. Docent was great and gave us a detailed history of the area including tobacco farming.
