The bridge itself dates back to 1943 and has both lanes and sidewalks. Funny construction. I found the area near the entrance to be an engaging, chaotic business district and fun to walk around. You can see the way work has to be done for decades, the porters carrying heavy cargo, the flower market in the lower position near the bridge, and the constant flow of cars and pedestrians entering and leaving the bridge.
