Setting the standard!!
Ummm WOW! I stayed in the seated balcony instead of general admission floor for reference. For the balcony seats, there is a separate back entry one needs to line up for. This venue is GORGEOUS~~ Spacious with multiple chandeliers hanging. Set in an equally beautiful and sophisticated location. I even received printed out tickets, which I rarely ever get anymore - it’s almost always been a QR code or print yourself tickets. I miss physical copies of tickets so much! I wished more places were like The Anthem!
1. Parking is a MESS! $50 to park for an evening show & then plan on standing in line afterwards waiting to pay to get your $50 parking ticket validated just to get out of the garage (no way to pay in advance). Then wait in the back-up as people try to use their tickets to get out of the gated garage. Next, hit the massive traffic jam on the street (where you also have people running around in traffic looking for their ride shares!). And God help you if you (or anyone in line in front of you) have any issues with the ticket machines or gates ---- there's no one around monitoring this cluster. 2. Venue sound was awful at the show we attended last night (Black Crowes). (Of course the Sphere in Vegas has now set the bar). Loud & echoing chamber. Couldn't understand a word from the opening act (Asteroid No. 4) & the Crowes weren't much better (& we were in paid-for seats, not the floor). 3. Do not plan on getting wine at the bars. OMG! What were they serving???? Even the bartender I spoke with couldn't muster up a 'drinkable' recommendation. Bottom line - this was our 2nd visit to the Anthem & we'll have to REALLY want to see an act before going through this again. Not worth the $$$ or hassle.

I was very impressed with the cleanliness, organization, and safety of this venue! My teen and I attended the DC101-derland festival and it was amazing! There was someone trying to start fights and push to the front, but the security acted quickly and ejected him. Very thankful for venue keeping us safe!
