Wenfeng Pagoda was built in the 42nd year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1614 AD) and has a history of 400 years. Because it was built in the Civilization Temple, it is also known as the Civilization Tower or the Civilization Temple Tower. Wenming Temple was a famous Buddhist temple at that time. The temple has been destroyed, and only Wenfeng Pagoda stands majestically. The tower is 49.536 meters high and has a total of thirteen floors. It is a flat octagonal shape with exquisite shape and rigorous structure. It is the crown of the 200 Ming Dynasty brick towers in Henan Province. The whole tower is composed of abutment, base, tower body, tower brake and other parts. The abutment is made of horizontal bricks. The pedestal is constructed of bluestone, with a waisted Xumi seat, decorated with bas-relief overlying lotus and curly grass patterns. The tower body is straight and beautiful, majestic and tall, and consists of three parts: the outer wall, the corridor and the tower heart. There are semi-circular arched doors and windows on the walls of each floor, and round window grilles inlaid with stones. There are tower heart chambers or tower heart columns on each floor, and there are Buddhist niches. The roof of the tower's heart chamber is built with small brick arches, stacked brick layers, and water chestnut teeth bricks alternately to build caisson, which is neat, well-proportioned, exquisite and beautiful. A rectangular bluestone plaque is inlaid on the lintel of the pagoda. The middle is inscribed in running script "Wenbi towering show", and the upper left is vertically inscribed in inscription "Wanli Forty-two Years". The eaves of the tower are decorated with imitation wooden brick bucket arches, bluestone dragon heads are carved at the corners of the wings, and wind chimes are attached to the neck. The eaves of the top of the tower are inlaid with glazed ornaments such as dragons, tigers, lions, peacocks, playing children and lotus. There is a bronze mirror and an iron sword in the Tasha. The pagoda enshrines the Thousand-handed Thousand-Eyed Buddha, the White-robed Bodhisattva, and Emperor Wenchang. In front of the tower stands a stone tablet with three links. The whole tower is majestic and beautiful in shape, which lasted 400 years and is still well preserved. From the overall shape, architectural structure and carving of the tower, it reflects the superb architectural skills and exquisite carving art of Ming Dynasty craftsmen. .
