The Sultan's Palace in Yogyakarta still houses the original royal family, servants and staff, all dressed in ancient clothes. The palace is located at the end of Mario Polo Street, and it will be there soon after the shopping by electric tricycle. The palace is not very large in scale, the building has Java tradition, there are also European style, and you can also see the shadow of Islamic architectural characteristics. The main point is the ancient Kameilan musical instruments. It is said that one set is the relics of the Maju Bashi Dynasty, and the other is from the Tammu Kingdom. There is a monument donated by overseas Chinese in the palace. Opened at 8:30 in the morning, an old gentleman at the ticket office served the palace for decades, received many Chinese tourists, chatted with him, and knew some information. The tickets are a package ticket, including tickets like tickets, which are quite 8RMB. About an hour is enough to visit, from another gate exit, you can walk or take another tricycle to the water palace.

In order to commemorate half a century of national awakening, in Yogyakarta in 1958 a committee was formed which was named the "Half Century Committee for the National Awakening of the Special Region of Yogyakarta". The committee is chaired by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwana IX and consists of heads of departments, representatives from the military and police, party and organizational leaders from all sects and beliefs who are members of the National Unity Committee (PPN), intellectuals and works of art. . On May 20, 1958, in the courtyard of the Great Building, Yogyakarta, a half-century commemoration of the national awakening was held. In addition, a series of activities were carried out, including community service, movements to increase crops, collecting gifts to be sent to the units that were struggling to quell rebellions, as well as making pilgrimages to the graves of national heroes. However, the committee felt that something was missing. Therefore, Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX's idea emerged as the chairman of the Committee for the Half Century National Awakening of the Special Region of Yogyakarta to hold a legacy for future generations. After the ceremony on May 20, 1958, a committee meeting was held. The meeting succeeded in forming the Committee for the Half Century of National Awakening Monument whose members consisted of members of the Leadership Council of the Committee for the Commemoration of the Half Century of National Awakening of Yogyakarta. As the place for the Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwana IX monument to be erected, part of the courtyard of Ndalem Brontokusuman is provided.
