The 17th century Mughul mosque Mahabat khan has got a significant importance historically, this is one of the Mughul monuments in peshawar. This mosque was constructed by the then governor Mahabat Khan around 1670 during the reign of Shah Jahan the Mughul Emperor.It has got three gates, two tall minerets, six small symbolic ones, six interior gates to main hall, the architecture is mainly mughul & Central Asian.
