Acropolis of Athens

The Acropolis of Athens was formed around the fifth century BC. Construction was temporarily suspended due to the Peloponnesian War, but was finally completed during the Peace of Nicias, between 421 and 415 BC. The entrance to the Acropolis is called the Propylaea. To the right of the Acropolis gate is the small Temple of Athena Nike. In the center of the Acropolis is the Parthenon. On the left side of the mountain gate is the Erechtheion and the Caryatids. Outside the city is the famous Dionysus Theater. We were lucky enough to have the sun out when we arrived today, so the photos were particularly beautiful. The buildings have been standing majestically before us after thousands of years of testimonies, making us feel that human beings are particularly insignificant in the long river of history. I am so lucky to have the opportunity to travel here in my lifetime. I suggest you come back in winter. We came in December which is the off-season but there were still huge crowds. I can't imagine how hot it would be in the peak summer season, and there would probably be several times more people than now. The weather is cool in December, but it is still safer to wear a down jacket because the wind is very strong, especially since the Acropolis stands on a high ground in a flat city and is close to the Aegean Sea. In addition, if you want to come in for a visit, you must purchase tickets online in advance, because the number of people admitted is limited at any time, and you may not be able to buy tickets on site to enter for a visit.



Santorini is a destination that offers a mix of romance, history, stunning natural beauty, and unique culture. While it can be touristy and expensive, its iconic charm makes it well worth the visit.

Acropolis Museum

This is the most important attraction in Athens and it is a must see...You do learn a lot about history and you get to enjoy great views but it is not amazing or wow but definitely better than average.



Parthenon

Athens is a city with many cultural relics, especially the temples. We visited many temples in Greece. When we took a boat tour of the Aegean Sea, we also visited the famous temples on the island. Greece is still very cultural.



National Archaeological Museum

TALAL MOHAMMAD HUSSEINY

This is a must see for any history buff and anyone interested in learning Greek history. The price of admittance is acceptable and you have the opportunity to see and read many things. Superb museum!
