West Lake

梦中的阿尔及尔
Staying at InterContinental Hanoi West Lake, it is right next to Hanoi West Lake, and it is very convenient to go to the Old Quarter. The front desk service is also very good, thumbs up. Hanoi West Lake is different from West Lake, there are no mountains, but it is still good.

Chua Tran Quoc

20230617 AM: 1. "Vietnam Tran Quoc Temple" is the first famous temple in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. It was built during the Li Dynasty Emperor Li Nan 541-548 years ago (China was in the period of division between the Northern and Southern Dynasties). It is the place where Vietnamese monks, royal family and celebrities of all dynasties were taught. There are many ancient pagodas in the temple, which complement the adjacent West Lake Lotus Pond and become the most beautiful among the ancient buildings in Vietnam. The temple was originally called "Kaiguo Temple" and "Zhenbei Temple". It was not until the Later Le Dynasty that it was changed to "Anguo Temple" in 1440 (the fifth year of Zhengtong in the Ming Dynasty). In 1616 (the 44th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty), the Later Le Emperor moved the temple to the current "Goldfish Island" and changed it to its current name. The temple is not large in scale, but it is very popular and admission is free. ① Address: West Lake on the north side of Hanoi, Vietnam. ② Transportation: It is easy to park by car. ③ Peak season: None. ④ Time: 1 hour. 2. Cross the stone bridge to the main entrance of the temple in the lake. The red and yellow temple gates are solemn and magnificent. The plaques and couplets are all in Chinese characters. Because the central and northern parts of Vietnam were Chinese territory during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period (907-979), they were deeply influenced by Chinese culture. On the way here, you can also see many Taoist temples. Although the Vietnamese are taboo about these histories, they will not tamper with religious monuments. Therefore, temples and Taoist temples stand there day and night to show the original appearance of history. 3. There are many pagodas in the first courtyard. The main hall is "Fengzu Hall". The rockery and kumquat scenery in the courtyard are small and exquisite, showing the style of Southeast Asian Buddhism. There are also: ① Hexagonal Lotus Platform Pagoda: The iconic main tower, red, built in 1998, has 11 floors, 6 sides and 66 niches. There is a white Buddha statue in each niche. ② Pavilion: The pavilion with red tiles and yellow body is very beautiful. The inscription is in Chinese, recording the successive abbots of the temple. 4. The second courtyard has: ① Buddha Hall: You must take off your shoes when entering the Buddha Hall in Southeast Asia to avoid bringing the worldly dirt on your feet into the temple. Some people also say that this means purifying the body and mind. ② Bodhi tree: The treasure of the temple, presented by Indian President Rajendra Prasad in 1959. It is said that 2,500 years ago, Buddha Sakyamuni became a Buddha under the mother tree of this Bodhi tree. The tree in front of you is the descendant of that tree, or its branches were transplanted and grown into a tree. 5. The tour ends here, which takes half an hour. There are many stalls outside the temple selling fish and birds for release. The tour guide recommends not to buy them. The stall owner will catch them again after we release them. Origami crafts and unique sweet and sour fruit soup are quite special. 6. The tour of Hanoi is over, and we set off from Hanoi back to Halong City. On the way, we also experienced the local tricycles, shuttling on the Shijing Road in Vietnam. In the absence of traffic lights, pedestrians, motorcycles, cars, etc. come and go around, which is quite exciting. Appendix: Vietnam Travel Tips ①Currency: RMB/VND=3000/1 (only an approximate value, it changes every day) ②Shopping: Regular shopping malls can directly accept domestic UnionPay cards, and will directly calculate the exchange rate and deduct the corresponding RMB amount, but small shops may not accept UnionPay cards. WeChat and Alipay can basically be accepted in larger stores. ③Prices... The word count exceeds the limit, continue in the last picture.

Dad said that the soil slag is art. Hahahahahaha. It’s very cold on the Internet. I have to bring clothes. I brought a bunch of clothes. The result is not cold at all. It may be the first relationship in the afternoon. Anyway, I don’t have clothes.

Hoan Kiem Lake

Hoan Kiem Lake is the beating heart of Hanoi! everything happens here: music, street food, nightlife. A must do if you are in Hanoi.

Thirty-six-line ancient street has been a history of thousands of years, once the center of Hanoi's economic prosperity. Each street is concentrated in a certain line of business, so it is named "Thirty-six-line street" ‌. Close to Hoan Kiem Lake view, it is the heart of Hanoi city ‌. People come and go on the street, the traffic is constantly, and the motorcycle shuttles between them. This motorcycle army is too messy to wear. It is too difficult to cross the road. The air on the street is full of gasoline (incomplete burning) exhaust smell... I am not used to it. You can stop, have a cup of coffee, and feel this rare lively atmosphere.

St. Joseph Cathedral

St. Joseph's Cathedral is a must-visit landmark for anyone exploring Hanoi. This stunning Gothic cathedral, built during the French colonial era, stands as a testament to the city's rich history and architectural heritage. Here's why you should add it to your itinerary:Architectural Marvel: The cathedral's imposing façade, twin towers, and intricate stained glass windows are simply breathtaking. Its neo-Gothic design, reminiscent of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, creates a serene and awe-inspiring atmosphere.Historical Significance: As one of the oldest churches in Hanoi, St. Joseph's Cathedral has witnessed significant historical events. It's a place where you can connect with the past and appreciate the city's cultural diversity.Peaceful Surroundings: The cathedral is nestled in a tranquil square, surrounded by lush greenery. Take a moment to sit on one of the benches, soak in the peaceful ambiance, and watch the world go by.Photo Opportunities: The cathedral's majestic architecture provides endless photo opportunities. Capture the stunning façade, the intricate details of the stained glass windows, or simply the serene atmosphere of the square.Tips for Visitors: * Dress Modestly: While visitors of all faiths are welcome, it's respectful to dress modestly when entering the cathedral. * Respectful Behavior: Maintain silence and avoid disruptive behavior inside the cathedral, especially during prayer times. * Best Time to Visit: Early morning or late afternoon are ideal times to visit when the crowds are smaller and the lighting is more favorable for photography.Whether you're a history buff, an architecture enthusiast, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, St. Joseph's Cathedral is a must-visit destination in Hanoi.

The water park is inside the West Lake scenic area. The West Lake in Hanoi is really great. The facilities in the park are relatively simple compared to some of our domestic park facilities. But there are relatively few people here.
