Cathedrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg

The Cathedral Notre-Dame de Strasbourg is a stunning example of Gothic architecture and a highlight of any visit to Alsace. Its towering, ornate facade, crafted from pink sandstone, changes color with the light throughout the day, creating a mesmerizing sight. Inside, the cathedral is filled with intricate stained-glass windows and a soaring nave that conveys a profound sense of awe. A unique feature is the astronomical clock, which draws crowds daily for its intricate display at noon. Visitors

The only word I can use to describe it is "amazing." The first floor is a place of worship for commoners, which also had a quaint and solemn atmosphere, but when you go up the narrow corner staircase to the second floor, the place of worship for the aristocracy, with its stunning stained glass windows stretching out in a 360-degree view, was enough to bring tears to my eyes just standing there. Taking a photo from the balcony, I was struck by the stunning contrast of the interior of this Gothic church, which at first glance appears modest from the outside, being decorated with such beautiful stained glass.


