Now that I have the courage to visit Libya, I think the world has moved around a lot, it's just that I have opened an extra map. It can be roughly regarded as a smaller version of Jerusalem.
Bab al-Azizia
M44***33
The Azizia Barracks (Bab al-Aziziya), often translated as the Azizia Barracks, was once the headquarters of Gaddafi's command and one of Gaddafi's main residences in Tripoli. Located on the west side of Abu Khalida Street in Tripoli, it covers an area of about 4 hectares and is surrounded by high walls, 4 meters high and0.5 meters thick, all made of reinforced concrete. The Azizia barracks symbolize Gaddafi's rule, once the most tightly forbidden area in Tripoli, with tunnels, barracks and camouflaged villas, where the Gaddafi family and senior officials from his former regime live in the walls of the Forbidden City.
