Xinghai Square is really worth a visit! As the largest city square in Asia, it has both magnificent scenery and a romantic and cozy atmosphere. The white marble stele in the center of the square is solemn and majestic, and the reliefs of centuries-old footprints around the square record the footprints of hundreds of Dalian people, allowing people to feel the historical accumulation and cultural heritage of this city. Walking in the square, the sea breeze caresses your face, and when you look up you can see the vast ocean. Seagulls fly by in groups, sometimes circling, sometimes diving, forming a beautiful picture with the blue sky and blue sea. After night falls, the lights come on, and the bright lights are reflected on the sea, colorful and gorgeous. The musical fountain dances to the melody, and the light and shadow interweave, like a dream. There are not only beautiful scenery here, but also a variety of special foods and entertainment activities. Whether you are cycling along the beach or taking your children to feed seagulls and play in the sand, you can have a lot of fun. Xinghai Square is like a bright business card of Dalian. With its unique charm, people don’t want to leave once they come here. It is definitely a treasure trove for travel check-ins!

One excellent location to take in Dalian's surroundings is the Lianhuashan Observation Deck. With a commanding view of the Yellow Sea, Xinghai Square, Binhai Road, Xinghai Bay Cross-sea Bridge, and, in clear weather, Lushunkou in the distance, it is one of Dalian City's most prominent heights. At sunset, the vista is breathtaking, and when the cross-sea bridge's lights are on at night, the scene is lovely. It is a well-liked check-in location for photographers. The Lotus Mountain Observation Deck offers views of the city, the outdoors, and a romantic setting. It is an excellent location to enjoy the allure of the "City of Romance"'s mountains and seas! Xinghai Square → Binhai Road Hiking → Lianhuashan Observation Deck → Silver Beach are suggested itineraries in the vicinity.

My experience of visiting the Lotus Mountain Observation Deck. The moment I climbed up to the Lotus Mountain Observation Deck, I finally understood the shock of “standing on the top of the mountain, overlooking all the other mountains below.” This observation deck, standing at a commanding height in downtown Dalian, is not only an excellent window to overlook the city, mountains and sea, but also more like a double feast for the eyes and the soul, immersing people in the magnificent beauty of the interweaving of nature and humanity. Take the sightseeing train and slowly go up along the winding mountain road. Along the way, there are lush and green forests, the fresh fragrance of grass and trees hits you in the face, and the hustle and bustle of the city is gradually left behind. Arriving at the observation deck, the 360-degree view instantly captured me - under my feet were the scattered urban buildings, and in the distance the Xinghai Bay Cross-sea Bridge was like a silver dragon lying on the waves, gleaming with metallic luster in the sun; Xinghai Square and Binhai Road stretched out like winding ribbons, connecting the city and the ocean; looking into the distance, the Yellow Sea and the blue sky merged into one at the skyline, and a few fishing boats occasionally passed by the sparkling sea, outlining a picture of both movement and stillness. Especially at sunset, the orange-red sunset dyes the sky into a dreamy color, the sea surface is reflected red, and the outline of the bridge gradually lights up with bright lights in the twilight. Everything in front of you is breathtakingly beautiful, making people unable to help but press the shutter to freeze every frame of this beautiful picture. In addition to the stunning natural scenery, the design of the observation deck is also unique.

The largest offshore anchored suspension bridge in China is the Dalian Xinghai Bay Cross-Sea Bridge, which runs parallel to the Xinghai Square coastline. The central portion of the cross-sea bridge is isolated from the highway and features sidewalks on both the north and south sides. In order to facilitate staff movement and bridge maintenance, steel escalators are positioned on both sides of the two-story bridge.

Address: 1 km away from the Dalian Centennial City Sculpture, parallel to the coastline of Xinghai Square and perpendicular to the central axis of Xinghai Square

As a major transportation project in Dalian, Liaoning Province, China, Xinghai Bay Cross-sea Bridge has many remarkable highlights. The following is a summary of its highlights:### 1. Engineering design and construction 1. **Main bridge structure**: The main bridge of Xinghai Bay Bridge is a double-tower three-span ground-anchored suspension bridge. The main beam adopts a steel truss structure. This design makes the bridge both strong and beautiful. 2. **Double-deck traffic**: The bridge is designed for double-deck traffic. Both decks are two-way four-lane urban expressways with a design speed of 80 km/h, which greatly improves traffic efficiency. 3. **Grand scale**: The total length of the bridge is 6 kilometers, the main bridge is 820 meters long, the main span of the main bridge is 460 meters, the side span is 180 meters, and the main tower is 114.3 meters high. Technological innovation and records 1. **Many national firsts**: Xinghai Bay Bridge is the first gravity-anchored suspension bridge at sea in China, the first double-deck steel truss suspension bridge in China, and the longest double-deck offshore bridge in China. These innovations make the bridge unique among similar bridges. 2. **World First**: The bridge is also the first bridge in the world to adopt riprap lifting caisson foundation construction, and the first prestressed concrete bridge in the world to adopt prefabricated frame construction, with the upper bridge using main beams and cross beams consolidated, and supports set between the cross beams and piers. These technical innovations provide strong support for the construction of the bridge. ### 3. Landscape and night view 1. **Beautiful landscape**: The bridge spans the Yellow Sea, connecting Ganjingzi District and Xigang District. Tourists and citizens can enjoy the boundless sea and the brilliant lights of the city on the bridge, and feel the gentleness of the sea and the prosperity of the city. 2. **Charming night view**: The bridge is decorated very beautifully at night by more than 30,000 small lights and the light strips on both sides of the approach bridge, becoming a beautiful landscape of Dalian's night view. During the festival, the bridge will also stage various light shows, which are spectacular. ### IV. Tourism and Leisure 1. **Hiking Tour**: There are sidewalks on both the north and south sides of the bridge, which are separated from the road and convenient for tourists and citizens to visit on foot. Visitors can go directly to the bridge from the High-tech Park, the south gate of the Forest Zoo and other places. The entire hike takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. 2. **Observation and Photography**: Xijianshan Park and the south gate of Dalian Forest Zoo are the best observation and photography spots for the cross-sea bridge, where visitors can capture the beauty of the bridge. To sum up, the Xinghai Bay Cross-sea Bridge has become a bright business card for Dalian and even the whole country with its unique engineering design and structure, technological innovation and record, beautiful scenery and charming night view, as well as tourism and leisure value.

Xinghai Bay BridgeThe Xinghai Bay Bridge is a must see sight especially during sunset! 🌅 You'll see gorgeous reds, orange, blues, and purples as the sky sets and darkens. It is satisfying seeing beautiful colours in the sky, its like watching a show! Cameras can only pick up a fraction of the beauty compared to viewing it in real life! 🌉 The Xinghai Bay Bridge is 6 kilometers long and is shaped in an 'S' curve holding traffic from both directions. It is also double decked! We didn't allow time to walk on the bridge but you can do so if you like. Viewing the bridge from the coast by Xinghai Square was just as good! Did you know that the Xinghai Square is the worlds largest city square? If you search up photos of the square it does not actually capture how big it is! When we were walking to the metro it was only then I understood how big the plaza square was 😂. You can get to the bridge and square by metro but it is about a 20 min walk to the viewpoint to see the bridge. We took a Didi from Fishermans Wharf (another tourist site) and then caught a metro back to our hotel. 📸 Lastly you'll see photographers who are likely to come up to you offering their services. They are not pushy. We decided to opt for a photo as it wasn't expensive and our phone cameras can only capture so much lol. One photo was 20 yuan, approx $2.96 USD / $5.03 NZD. They have their fancy cameras and then transferred the photo to us via airdrop. ALSO: we found that people in China really like to use the filters 😂 so make sure you ask for no editing and just the original photo! It took us a few tries to confirm this lol.

Tuanjie Street, northwest of Shengli Bridge and close to Dalian Railway Station, is the Russian-style street. The Russians constructed the historic Russian-style buildings on either side of this street over a century ago, and they are still in good condition today. Entering through the street entrance gives you the impression that you are on a street in a European city. It is a must-see for tourists who enjoy photographing historic structures. You may also experience the ups and downs of this city's history and admire historic structures like the Dongqing Steamship Company's former location.

Dalian Russian Style Street: A perfect encounter between history and romance Dalian Russian Style Street, located north of Shengli Bridge in Xigang District, is the first street in China with Russian architectural style from the 19th and 20th centuries. This century-old street has witnessed Dalian's tremendous changes from a small fishing village to a modern metropolis. It has now become a cultural name card and tourist destination of Dalian. Architecture: Witness of History The Russian Style Street retains 38 buildings from the Far East Belarus period. These buildings have diverse styles, including the neoclassical town hall and the Gothic-style site of the Dongqing Steamship Company. These buildings bear witness to the history of Dalian’s founding and are symbols of the city’s origin. Walking through it, you feel like you are in a European town, and every building tells a story of the past. Culture: Diverse Fusion Russian Style Street is not only a street with unique architectural style, but also a melting pot of cultures. Elements of Russian, Japanese and Chinese cultures are brought together here. Visitors can buy various Russian specialties here, such as nesting dolls, chocolate and wine. In addition, there are many cultural exhibitions and interactive activities, such as the "Russian Street Garden" where visitors can appreciate large-scale floral art installations and experience street-style interactive music. With more than 200 castles in the European style, Haichang Oriental Water City is inspired after Venice. Traveling around the castles in gondolas gives you the impression that you are in a different nation. Here, you can write your own story about a water city while experiencing strange cultures.

As night falls and the lights come on, the blurred lights of the buildings in the water city of Venice seem to have brought you to the Pujiang River in Shanghai. You can see the unique walls of Bruges and many European-style castle buildings scattered on both sides of the canal, each of which is reflected on the surface of the water city. The gentle breeze, the swaying shadows of the trees, the winding water lanes, the flowing clear waves, indulge in the dream of rippling blue waves, the poetic and picturesque scenery of the coastal city, the romance of Dalian is exaggerated here. The charm of the blue sky, the starry sky at night and the rippling water will sweep away the summer heat and make you feel like entering a beautiful dream.

The eastern part of Dalian City is home to Bangchuidao, also referred to as the Bangchuidao Hotel Scenic Area. Bangchuidao Beach, the hotel villa area, and Bangchuidao isolated in the sea are its key features. It is a well-known vacation spot featuring some of Dalian City's cleanest beaches and purest seas, as well as picturesque coastline surroundings. The scenery is beautiful. If you have limited physical strength, it is recommended to take a sightseeing bus on the way there, but not on the way back. It is all downhill and it only takes about ten minutes to walk. You need to go to the beach when the weather is good. The sea water is very clear and the pebble beach is very beautiful.

Among the well-known historical sites is the Russo-Japanese Prison Museum. Chinese patriots and worldwide anti-war activists were formerly tortured and imprisoned there by the Japanese invaders. Complete and enormous jail facilities, including cells, torture devices, and execution sites, are visible here. These facilities serve as a reminder of that time in terrible history and serve as a warning to the Chinese people not to forget the humiliation their country has endured.

The Dalian Lushun Russo-Japanese Prison Site Museum was built by the Russians in 1902, but had not yet been officially put into use. The Russo-Japanese War broke out suddenly. Japan, which regarded itself as the victor, took over Lushun and further expanded it into a hell on earth for imprisoning resistance fighters from various countries. Also imprisoned here is the Korean patriot An Jung-geun, who successfully assassinated former Japanese Prime Minister Ito Hirobumi in Harbin, China. This is a nationally renowned Chinese patriotism education base. When I arrived in Lushun and the former site of the Japanese-Russian Prison, I realized that history existed there so vividly. I wanted to cry uncontrollably in the Evidence Hall. It was heartbreaking to see how Japan 🇯🇵 and Russia 🇷🇺 fought each other on this Chinese land to seize territory, resulting in many casualties. When traveling to Dalian, China, don’t miss Lushun and don’t forget the history. #WeekendTour #OverseasTour #Dalian #Lushun #Russian-Japanese Prison Site

The largest submarine museum in China, the Lushun Submarine Museum combines military culture with tourism. An all-steel exhibition hall on the museum's third level primarily introduces the roles that submarines have played throughout history and their many developmental stages. In order to give visitors the impression that they are actually riding in a submarine, the High-Tech Museum primarily uses high-tech effects that combine sound, light, and electricity in four-dimensional space. Through autonomous control, visitors can see simulated scenarios of the submarine performing a variety of tasks.

Today, we chose a small group tour to Lushun. The weather today was really beautiful, with blue sky and white clouds, and a comfortable autumn breeze. We took our family to Lushun. We experienced a car tour of the cross-sea bridge. The view of Xinghai Square from the bridge was very good. We visited the submarine museum and entered the submarine for the first time. We also felt the spirit of soldiers defending their country. We visited the Lushun Museum and learned about Lushun's humanities. We visited Qingfeng Town, which has a strong folk customs. The performances in the scenic area are very good. The one-day itinerary is reasonably arranged. The overall cost-effectiveness is super high. Thumbs up.

Baiyu Mountain, a well-known tourist destination in Lushun, is situated in the city's heart. From the summit of the mountain, you have a full view of Lushun Port. It is a great place to observe Lushun District. Baiyushan Tower and the Naval Weapons Museum are two other sights on the mountain's summit. "Loyalty Tower" was the previous name for the Baiyushan Tower. It was built by the Japanese army in the early 20th century to commend officers and soldiers who were loyal to the emperor during the Russo-Japanese War. Now it has become evidence of the history of aggression. Climb up the tower to enjoy a broader view of Lushun Port. The Naval Weapons Museum displays some of the naval weapons and equipment designed and built by my country.

The wind was howling, the grass was withering, and the Baiyushan Tower standing alone on the top of the mountain overlooked the Lushun Naval Port. It seemed that you could still hear the rumbling of cannons in the wind and smell the billowing gunpowder smoke in the air. The fantasies and glory of the two old imperialisms have long gone, and the few words in the textbooks seem clear and blurry across the curtain of time. Only at this moment, the land under my feet and the scene in front of me finally coincided with the imagination in my mind. Myriad emotions were accumulated in my heart, but I could only exhale a breath of white air, which floated in the air. Can't climb the tower, the cableway is closed in winter, a bit regrettable.

Northeast of Dalian City is where Jinshitan Resort is situated. It boasts stunning scenery and is encircled by the sea on three sides. The ideal time of year to travel is from May to October. This place has a lot of attractions. You can take your kids for a stroll on the Gold Coast's beach, visit the Discovery Kingdom Theme Park for a day, or visit the Binhai National Geological Park to take in the odd rocks. The Rapid Rail Line 3 travels from the North Square of Dalian Railway Station to Dalian's back garden in roughly fifty minutes. After exiting the express train station, you can purchase tickets at the tourist service center next to it. Tickets for each attraction in the resort can be purchased separately.
A package, which is far less expensive than purchasing each attraction separately, is another option if you like to see several. To get to other places, you can use the tourist loop bus near the light rail station. With your ticket, you can ride the bus as many times as you like. The light rail station is not distant from Discovery Kingdom Theme Park. From the visitor center, a special bus will transport you straight to the park's main entrance. In the Northeast, Discovery Kingdom is a well-known theme park with a number of expansive amusement attractions. The "Heaven and Earth Spin Roller Coaster" and the "Crazy Cobra Roller Coaster" are two of the most exhilarating and worthwhile rides. Usually, a whole day is needed to tour the Kingdom of Discovery. The Gold Coast is a broad, sandy beach that is 5 kilometers long and located south of Discovery Kingdom Theme Park. Compared to the city's beaches, this one has better sand and water clarity. From the tourist service center, you can go to the Gold shore's east shore by sightseeing train. A well-liked location for photography is Binhai National Geopark, which is situated at the southeast end of Jinshitan Resort. Numerous unusual boulders that were created by rock deposits hundreds of millions of years ago, as well as numerous old biological specimens, can be seen here. Some of them like rocs opening their wings, while others resemble stone monkeys observing the ocean as they stand on the shore. To get to the park, you can ride the touring circle bus. The park has a lot of hiking areas, so watch out for the steep hills and steps. The resort's aforementioned features are definitely worth seeing. The Jinshitan Resort also has other attractions, including the Museum of Mysteries of Life, the Jinshitan Geological Museum, the Jinshi World Celebrity Wax Museum, and the Film and Television Art Center (Xu Beihong Art Museum). The majority of them are gathered close to the light rail station. You can go have a look if you've bought a package and have lots of time. A kilometer east of the light rail station, there are numerous hotels and eateries in the surrounding streets. There is not much of a difference between consumption here and in the metropolis. Travel is rather convenient because there are short-distance buses in the region. Other recreational facilities of the Jinshitan Resort include the Flight Experience Center, Jinwan Golf Course, Jinshi Golf Course, Jinshi Hunting Club, and Tang-style Hot Spring. It is ideal to spend a few days at the resort if you have a lot of free time.

I bought a ticket for a 63-year-old man. I think it is worth it. The original price is ¥60, but it only cost ¥29 on Ctrip. The park is worth visiting and has beautiful scenery, but it is not particularly friendly to the elderly. If you take the round-trip electric car, you will spend 10 yuan and cannot see the beautiful scenery; if you do not take the round-trip electric car, it will be very tiring to walk back and forth, as there are a lot of steps to climb, and you have to go up and down the steps constantly, so if you want to bring your parents here to play, you must think carefully and make a good plan. We walked there and came back by electric car, which allowed us to see the scenery without being too tiring.
