Guanghan White Horse Temple->Duan Family Courtyard->Sanxingdui Museum->Fanghu Park

Guanghan White Horse Temple is located on the banks of the Yazi River in the west of Guanghan City, close to the Guanghan Sanxingdui ancient city ruins. The ancient Guanghan White Horse Temple was named "White Horse Temple" because the Luoyang White Horse Temple sent monks to Guanghan City by white horses carrying Buddhist scriptures. It was also called "Fenjing Temple" because Buddhist scriptures were sent to Sanxing from the Western Regions. Its early history can be traced back to the Eastern Han Dynasty. It was even prosperous in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. In modern times, due to war damage, Guanghan White Horse Temple was almost completely destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. The White Horse Temple we see today has been restored and rebuilt. It is large in scale, with majestic buildings and green trees and flowers in the garden. It is worth visiting.

Buddhist holy place. There are numerous ancient buildings and cultural relics in the White Horse Temple, the most famous of which is the Main Hall from the Tang Dynasty. The Main Hall is one of the earliest existing wooden structures in China. It has a simple and elegant architectural style and exquisite interior decoration. It is one of the outstanding representatives of ancient Chinese architectural art. In addition, there are Tang Dynasty's Sutra Library, Bell Tower, Drum Tower and other buildings in the White Horse Temple, as well as a large number of Buddhist cultural relics and artworks, such as Tang Dynasty stone carvings of Buddha, Buddhist murals, etc., which are rare treasures in China's cultural treasure house. White Horse Temple is not only a holy place of Buddhist belief, but also an important site of ancient Chinese culture. It has witnessed the development of Chinese Buddhism and is also one of the important representatives of ancient Chinese architectural art and artwork. If you are interested in Chinese and Buddhist culture, you might as well take a trip to the White Horse Temple to experience the mystery and charm of this ancient temple. Well worth a look!

The Duan Family Courtyard is an ancient courtyard built with wood, blue tiles, stone slabs, earthen lacquer and other materials, with the style of traditional folk houses in western Sichuan. Due to the beautiful environment and dense trees, many birds have settled here, among which crows are the most numerous, so it is also called "Duanjia Crow Forest". There is an exhibition hall of ancient Sichuan folk house utensils in the compound, which is of great research value.

Duan Family Courtyard is an ancient residential building with Qing Dynasty architectural style. It is located on the banks of the Yazi River and next to Sanxingdui in Sichuan Province. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, the Duan clan moved to Sichuan from Huguang and lived and farmed here for generations. The simple and solemn architectural style and the pure and rich folk customs show the wisdom and talent of the ancient working people in architectural art. The courtyard covers an area of more than 100 acres and has hundreds of houses, interspersed with pavilions, corridors, winding paths and bridges, and willows on the banks of lotus ponds, which is quite interesting. The main building of the park is a typical "U"-shaped courtyard in the western Sichuan region, with side rooms within the main house, small courtyards within the large courtyard, painted buildings and carved beams, and painted doors and carved windows. The interior furnishings are well matched and the style is simple and solemn.

The Sanxingdui Museum collects and displays more than a thousand precious cultural relics unearthed from the Sanxingdui site, including bronze, jade, gold, pottery, and bone artifacts. Among them, the more famous ones include the Tongtian Divine Tree, which has a unique shape and is full of mystery. The Sanxingdui Museum covers a large area and currently has two independent exhibition halls. One hall is a comprehensive hall where you can see cultural relics such as gold, bronze, jade, stone, and pottery. The second exhibition hall is a special hall for bronze, which displays various unearthed bronze utensils.

Sanxingdui is awesome! For a serious fan of Sanxingdui culture like me, it is definitely like a mouse falling into a rice jar. The only thing I am not satisfied with is the commemorative coins given with the product, which are a bit rough, but Sanxingdui is definitely worth a visit

Fanghu Park is located in the southwest of Luocheng Town, Guanghan City, Deyang, and is known as the "Pearl of Western Sichuan". The buildings in the garden are exquisite and elegant, integrating the styles of Suzhou gardens and Bashu gardens, and are very distinctive. There is a lake in the center of the park. There is a rockery on the small island in the middle of the lake, with green trees and flowers planted, and the layout is exquisite. There is a lotus pond in the east of the lake and a boat pond in the west. There are horticultural gardens, museum gardens, children's playgrounds, etc. around the lake.

When talking about Guanghan City, Deyang, most people will think of the well-known "Sanxingdui" first. But this time, our target is a character tower located in Fanghu Park - Hanzhou Character Tower. By the way, we can get an in-depth understanding of this "Shadow City" through the bricks and stones in the park. People are sometimes strange. Curiosity will draw our eyes to the distant past of time, but we often ignore the recent stories around us. Even though Guanghan is so close to Chengdu, I still lack sufficient understanding of it. Guanghan was formerly known as Hanzhou and Luocheng. It is famous for the ancient Sanxingdui civilization. It has a history of more than 4,000 years and is a battleground for military strategists in Bashu. In "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", there are three chapters related to Luocheng. Fanghu Park is located in the southwest of Luocheng Street, Guanghan City. It got its name because Fanggong Lake was dug by Fang Guan when he was transferred to be the governor of Hanzhou in the second year of Shangyuan in the Tang Dynasty (761).
