The long corridor leads to cavernous rooms and halls; the rock arches above them become part of the glacier, and the beautiful ice sculptures on both sides of the tunnel entice people to hang around. The glacier tunnel has to be artificially cooled to three degrees below zero Celsius, and the vaulted ceilings and arched corridors have to be re-carved regularly. The first ice sculptures stand in niches in the walls, glowing with blue light in the eternal glacier world. The 1,000 square meter area in front of us was hand-carved with ice picks and saws. It was truly is massive project.
