Jianchi is one of the most popular attractions on Mogan Mountain, known for its picturesque scenery. Beyond the serene bamboo groves and cascading waterfalls, legend has it that the famous swordsmiths Gan Jiang and Moye forged their legendary swords here—sharpening them on mountain stones and tempering them in the pool’s waters, giving the blades exceptional sharpness. Notable sights include the four-fold waterfall, statues of Gan Jiang and Moye, the sword-grinding and sword-testing stones, as well as striking cliff carvings.

Built in 1986, Xuguang Terrace is a scenic spot located in Moganshan. This two-story stone structure features a bright pavilion-style room and is a popular vantage point for viewing both sunrise and sunset over the mountain. From the terrace, visitors can take in sweeping views of Mogan Mountain, where layers of bamboo forests, scattered villas, and varied architecture come together to form a stunning, natural panorama.

Reed Dang is a man-made garden in Mogan Mountain. According to legend, Mo Yuan, the mountain’s founder, once lived here with his daughter and grew reeds. Springs are one of the “three highlights” of Mogan Mountain, and the Hezhuo Spring in Reed Dang is a well-known one. Key attractions include the Crane Pecking Spring, Crane Pond, reed marshes, a statue of the mountain’s founder, flowering bamboo, the Zodiac Garden reflecting local folk culture, the Forest of Steles showcasing contemporary calligraphy, and the Chen Shuai Poetry Pavilion.
