Start: The Bund Bull Plaza (Waittan Jin Niu Guangchang)

Full Marathon Finish: Xujiahui Sports Park

Fitness Run Finish: Shanghai Exhibition Center.

The race route passes through the Bund, Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street, Jing'an Temple, Huaihai Road, Xintiandi, Longteng Avenue, and Longhua Road. The detailed route will be announced before the race.

Age Requirements:

Full Marathon: Born before December 31, 2005 (≥20 years).

Fitness Run: Born before December 31, 2015 (≥10 years; <18 requires guardian consent).

Pre-registration: July 1 (00:00) – July 31 (24:00), 2025.

Draw Result Announcement: August 25 (afternoon).

Payment Deadline: By September 10 (15:00).

Qualifiers: Top finishers of 2025 Shanghai Women’s Half Marathon (top 200), Shanghai Suzhou River Half Marathon (men’s top 150/women’s top 100), or Shanghai Half Marathon (men’s top 200/women’s top 100).

Registration & Payment: July 1–31, 2025.

Charity Runners

Registration Opens: September 1 (10:00).

Process: First-come-first-served via official website/APP; 1,000 slots only.

Road running is a high-load, high-intensity, long-distance competitive sport, and it carries a certain level of risk. It requires participants to be in good physical condition and to have a solid foundation of regular running or training.

Participants with the following conditions should not take part in the Shanghai Marathon:

Congenital heart disease or rheumatic heart disease

Hypertension or cerebrovascular diseases

Myocarditis or other heart conditions

Coronary artery disease or severe arrhythmia

Diabetes with excessively high or low blood sugar levels

Pregnancy

Fever or cold within two weeks prior to the race

Any other medical condition that is not suitable for physical exertion
