The Xinjiang Ancient Ecological Park's Ferghana Horse Base is located on Liyu Mountain in Urumqi City. It was built in 2005 and covers an area of nearly 300 acres. The park has a large number of rare ecological resources such as petrified wood, poplar wood, black iron meteorites, grassland stone men, petrified wood, Przewalski's horses, and Ferghana horses. The park also has a supporting "Wild Horse-Silk Road Inn Cultural Theme Hotel". These landscapes are integrated to form the four major themes of Xinjiang Ancient Ecological Park: "Horses, Paintings, Gardens, and Shops".

At present, the Xinjiang Ancient Ecological Park Ferghana Horse Base has been named a "Cultural Tourism Scenic Area" by the Autonomous Region Tourism Bureau and an "Autonomous Region Cultural Industry Demonstration Base" by the Autonomous Region Culture Department. It is a member unit of the Xinjiang Natural History Museum Association, a national ancient fossil museum base, and a Xinjiang ecological civilisation education base. In June 2016, the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation nominated the Xinjiang Ancient Ecological Park Ferghana Horse Base as the "SCO Cultural Industry Demonstration Base". Therefore, the Xinjiang Ancient Ecological Park Ferghana Horse Base is not only a cultural tourism theme scenic spot, but also a base for cultural exchanges along the Belt and Road Initiative.

This is the first time I've seen the legendary Arabian horse in my life. It is so beautiful! Although the ticket costs 160, I think it's worth the trip. There are probably several hundred Arabian horses in the base, with many stables. The horses are well-kept and shiny, and are very friendly to tourists, allowing them to be touched at will.
The Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Museum is located in Saybagh District, Urumqi City. It is a provincial museum in Xinjiang. The museum displays Xinjiang's history and the customs of various ethnic groups. It also has exhibitions that are rare in China, such as the Mummy Museum. The exhibits are very Xinjiang-style. The famous "Loulan Beauty" ancient corpse, "Five Stars Rising from the East" Han Dynasty brocade and other cultural relics can also be seen here. It is a must-see attraction in Urumqi.

The museum is a modern three-story building, but it also incorporates Xinjiang's architectural styles, such as arched windows and domes, which are very distinctive. There are several permanent exhibition halls in the museum. The first floor houses the Xinjiang ethnic customs exhibition and the Xinjiang ancient historical relics exhibition; the second floor is divided into left and right sides, the left side is the textile exhibition hall of past dynasties and the "Forever with the Motherland" theme exhibition, and the right side is the ancient mummy exhibition and the white jade exhibition hall. In addition, there are often some temporary exhibitions and displays in the museum, so you can go and see them if you can.
The Xinjiang Ethnic Customs Exhibition Hall is on the first floor. It introduces the folk customs of 12 major ethnic groups in Xinjiang, including Uyghur, Kazakh, Mongolian, Xibe, etc. Inside, you can see their musical instruments, daily necessities, felt houses, etc., as well as special costumes such as hats and scarves. Most of them are brightly colored and full of Xinjiang's ethnic minority customs. The houses of the Xibe people are quite distinctive. Since they migrated from Northeast China, you can see that the houses they live in still have the traditional Northeastern kangs. In addition, the furniture and tableware with a Russian style are also very distinctive.
The Xinjiang Ancient History Cultural Relics Exhibition displays a variety of unearthed cultural relics along the Silk Road from ancient times to the present, including many Central Plains artefacts from the Han and Tang dynasties, which are very characteristic of ancient China. There are also numerous cultural relics from the Western Regions, including murals of angels and other figures, as well as many objects with Western Region characteristics. These are the unique cultural relics of Xinjiang as a link between the East and the West, and should not be missed.

The mummy display on the second floor and the “Forever with the Motherland” display are the highlights of the museum. The Mummy Museum displays the corpses of ancient people who lived thousands of years ago. Due to the dry climate in Xinjiang, these corpses have escaped decay and have been preserved to this day, making them extremely precious. Among them, the ancient corpse of "Loulan Beauty" is one of the highlights of the entire museum. In the exhibition "Forever with the Motherland", there are precious cultural relics such as the "Five Stars Rising from the East" brocade and the Han Guiyi Qiang Chang Seal. Among them, the "Five Stars Rising from the East" brocade is even more precious, and the legend about it is very exciting, so you must learn about it.

Teacher Liu Jing spoke very well and answered the children's questions patiently. The children listened very carefully and the whole process was very enjoyable. We put the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Museum as the first stop of our trip to Xinjiang and learned about the stories of Xinjiang's past. It was a very good experience!
Hongshan Park is located in the center of Urumqi, close to People's Park and Parkson Shopping Center. It is a famous park in Urumqi. In the park, you can stroll through the woods, go boating on the lake, visit Buddhist temples and statues and other cultural buildings, experience various recreational projects, and climb to the top of the mountain to overlook the panoramic view of the city. The park has rich entertainment content. It is the first choice for relaxation and leisure in Urumqi city, and it is also an attraction that foreign tourists cannot miss when visiting Urumqi.

Urumqi Hongshan Park is located in the city center and is a national 4A-level tourist attraction. The park is named after the Red Mountain, which is ochre red. The park has scenic spots such as Hongshan Pagoda, Big Buddha Temple, and Yuanwang Tower, as well as natural landscapes such as green spaces and lakes. It is a comprehensive natural mountain park that integrates tourism, classical characteristics, cultural connotations, and sports and fitness. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and one of the new ten scenic spots in Urumqi. It's a free park and I think it's worth a visit.
The Tianshan Grand Canyon, about 50 kilometers away from Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang, is a natural scenic spot dominated by snow-capped mountains, forests, lakes and grasslands. The scenery here is fresh and natural, and it is a good place for residents of Urumqi to go hiking in the mountains in summer. The scenic area is very large and tourists can take electric cars to travel around. In addition, there are many yurts of Kazakh herdsmen in the canyon, providing delicious local food.
