Driving was incredibly convenient! Customer service contacted us early on WeChat, saying that with many people picking up cars that day, they could enter the information online and even recommended insurance.
Because it was Chinese New Year, the cars I usually look at had increased in price from 300-400 RMB to 800-1000 RMB. Following advice on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform), I only chose the car on Ctrip and planned to buy local insurance at the store.
Contacting the store early in the morning, they could only change the initial insurance amount from 5000 RMB to 2000 RMB. I was about to give up, but the friendly young man suggested canceling and refreshing the page. Sure enough, the original order appeared, the price hadn't increased, and I was able to successfully change to the full coverage insurance I wanted. A small hiccup, but it made the trip even more precious.
The front desk was superb; they picked up the car quickly, and after checking everything, they immediately used the same car to take us back to our hotel near the airport. 😍💯 Full marks!

The owner is incredibly nice. There's a notice about his WeChat ID in the car pick-up area just before departure. After confirming the time, the hotel owner near the airport can contact him to arrange pickup. He'll also drive the car back to the airport after you return it. The handover process was very smooth! The car was also very clean, and most importantly, being able to communicate in Chinese is so convenient! Highly recommended!

The car wasn't brand new, but it was clean and tidy, and the price was excellent. The owner is Chinese; when I returned the car, I left my backpack and phone in it, and the owner personally escorted them to the airport. The service was superb. I highly recommend this car rental company.

The rental company is located within a 10-minute drive from the airport and includes pick-up and drop-off. The location is easy to find, and the staff are professional and helpful, speaking Chinese. They even added me on WeChat before picking up the car to provide roadside updates and recommendations for good restaurants along the way. The car was in excellent condition, and after picking it up, they emailed me photos of the condition of the car. They were very professional and it was a very pleasant rental experience.

JOY Car Rental was recommended by a colleague who works at Ctrip. The owner is Chinese. If you have any questions, you can always consult them on WeChat. He also kindly reminded us to go to the Chinese supermarket to buy some supplies. Picking up the car was convenient and fast. He took photos in advance, including the return trip. The service was very smooth. I will use their car rental company again next time in New Zealand!

The car was a Vitz. I don't check the fuel economy often, but I think it was around 17-19km/L. It had Bluetooth. It didn't seem to have a navigation system. It would have been nice if it had a rearview monitor. The person who helped me was very kind. The license plate number was easy to remember :)
