KINGSTONRIZ2026-11-03

Wow... no words can truly describe the Disney Cruise experience! From the moment we stepped on board until the very last day, everything was simply magical. The ship was stunning, the crew members were incredibly friendly and attentive, and every detail was perfectly organized. The entertainment was world-class, with amazing Broadway-style shows, character meet-and-greets, and activities for every age group. The food was outstanding, offering a wide variety of delicious options throughout the cruise. Our stateroom was comfortable, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. Every day brought new surprises and unforgettable memories. What truly makes Disney Cruise special is the exceptional service and the magical atmosphere that makes both children and adults feel like they are living in a dream. Watching my family smile, laugh, and enjoy every moment was priceless. This was more than just a vacation; it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that exceeded all expectations. We are already lo

One of the best all inclusive travel experience! We’ve visited four cities in Japan: Kagoshima, Kobe, Osaka and Kochi. Our only wish was to stay longer in each city so that we could explore more.

First, let's talk about the amazing dining. We've been on five cruises across four ships, and honestly, among the free meals, MSC's is the best. The main dining room is excellent, and the buffet usually features a main dish every day, including king crab, lobster, scallops, and abalone. Other meals are similar to most ships. We were very satisfied with our recent fare. Since we haven't had any paid dining options with Royal Caribbean, we won't comment on those. Accommodation is generally similar across Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises, Idaho, and MSC. There isn't a significant difference. Service is better than some of the foreign staff; most are very friendly. Because we've had many experiences, we usually leave a tip for the cabin and main dining room staff before disembarking. Recreational facilities: Surprisingly, they're not much different from Royal Caribbean's, and quite good enough to enjoy. The facilities are quite new, but it was relatively crowded during our National Day cruise. Avoid peak times for activities and meals. Shore excursions were well-organized, efficient, and well-managed. The show was great; the female singer had a fantastic voice and left a deep impression, and the song and dance performances were excellent. If you have the time, try to see it. The only noticeable drawback was that people kept walking around after the show started; they should really do something about that.

The activities on the boat were quite good; the food, drinks, and entertainment were all enjoyable. The water slide was really fun, and I went on it many times. However, the food was more Westernized and not really suited to Chinese palates; it was best to consider it a short-term experience. As for shore activities, disembarking time was a problem. On the first day, it took over three hours to disembark. The Koh Samui itinerary was a day tour booked through Ctrip for 600 RMB, which was completely overpriced. The tour leader was practically useless, and the tour fee was a waste. The second day's itinerary on Redang Island was quite nice; the island isn't large, and you had free time after disembarking. You could also go diving at your own expense for 220 MYR.

Munich Brief Guide

Munich celebrates Bavarian culture with beer gardens, the English Garden, and festivals like Oktoberfest. Surrounding Alps provide easy day trips for hiking or scenic drives. This guide sorts your plans, from markets to nearby hikes.

Munich Must-try local experiences

1. Discover Munich's Historic Heart Marienplatz serves as Munich's lively central square, surrounded by Gothic facades and buzzing with daily life since the 12th century. Watch the New Town Hall's Glockenspiel chime at 11 a.m. and noon, its mechanical figures reenacting 16th-century weddings and jousts in a whimsical Bavarian tableau. Climb the tower for bird's-eye views over the Viktualienmarkt and Frauenkirche domes. This vibrant hub captures the city's medieval soul amid street performers and clockwork charm. 2. Explore Bavarian Royal Palaces Munich's palaces unveil the Wittelsbach dynasty's lavish legacy through opulent rooms and verdant grounds. The Munich Residenz, Europe's largest city palace, dazzles with rococo antiquarium halls, treasury jewels, and Cuvilliés Theatre's gilded intimacy. Venture west to Nymphenburg Palace, a Baroque summer retreat with frescoed apartments, porcelain collections, and canal-fed gardens perfect for swan-spotting strolls. Audio guides bring royal intrigues to life across these vast estates.  3.Wander Urban Parks and Museums Munich's green expanses and tech wonders blend nature's calm with intellectual sparks for full-day escapes. Stroll the English Garden, at 375 hectares one of Europe's largest urban parks, past Chinese Tower beer gardens, river surfers on the Eisbach wave, and hidden monopteros for picnics. Nearby, the Deutsches Museum spans 50,000 square meters of hands-on exhibits, from U-boat simulators to planetarium shows illuminating aviation and biotech. Rent a bike to link the two, weaving through meadows to labs. This duo embodies Munich's harmonious mix of leisure and learning. 4. Tour the BMW Museum and BMW Welt Olympiapark's northern edge hosts BMW's futuristic campus, a magnet for auto aficionados tracing German engineering's evolution. The BMW Museum's saucer-shaped icon displays concept cars, iDrive tech evolutions, and classic roadsters like the 507, with interactive holograms bringing engines to roar. Adjacent BMW Welt, a glassy showroom and delivery hall, lets you test-drive electrics or tour production lines via guided apps. Evening light shows illuminate the grounds, blending history with high-tech allure. This immersive hub revs up Munich's industrial pride. 5. Savor local foods at the Viktualienmarkt Viktualienmarkt, Munich's 180-year-old food bazaar, sprawls across St. Jakob's Square with 100 stalls bursting in seasonal bounty and Bavarian banter. Graze fresh pretzels, Obatzda cheese spreads, and radi (white radishes) amid beer garden maypoles and fish fountains. Watch butchers demo Leberkäse loaves or pick wildflower honeys from alpine apiaries. This sensory whirlwind, steps from Marienplatz, fuels market-hopping with authentic, unfussy flavors. It's the beating heart of Munich's daily feast. 6. Experience Bavarian Performing Arts Munich's opera heritage shines at the Bavarian State Opera, a Nationaltheater jewel hosting 350+ performances yearly in its 1963 concrete-clad auditorium. Catch Verdi or Wagner under Zubin Mehta's baton, or join the Munich Opera Festival from late June to July 31 for global stars in sold-out galas. Behind-the-scenes tours reveal props from "The Ring" cycle amid Maxvorstadt's artistic quarter. This world-class venue elevates evenings with acoustics that wrap voices like velvet. It's a cultured crescendo to Munich's folkloric fun. 7. Indulge in Bavarian Cuisine Munich's tables groan under hearty Bavarian staples, washed down with frothy Helles lagers in wood-paneled Wirtshäuser. Sink teeth into Schweinshaxe, crackling pork knuckle roasted crisp with sauerkraut and Knödel dumplings for carnivorous comfort. Slurp Weisswurst veal sausages before noon, dipped in sweet mustard per tradition, or shred fluffy Kaiserschmarrn pancakes with powdered sugar and compote. Pair an apple strudel from Café Rischart with Weizenbock beer for dessert.  8. Admire Baroque Architectural Gems Tucked in the Sendling district, Asamkirche—officially St. Johann Nepomuk—stuns as a pocket-sized Baroque explosion built by brothers Egid Quirin and Cosmas Damian Asam in 1746. Its illusionistic frescoes swirl heavenward from coral columns, gold leaf illusions, and a shell-vaulted ceiling depicting divine ecstasy. Light filters through stained glass to illuminate sculpted angels and trompe-l'œil depths in this 12-meter cube of opulence. Free entry rewards quiet awe amid the drama.  9. Enjoy a Scenic Train Ride to the Bavarian Alps Hop the S-Bahn or Deutsche Bahn from Hauptbahnhof for a 1-2 hour scenic rail jaunt to alpine outposts like Garmisch-Partenkirchen or Tegernsee Lake. Windows frame emerald meadows rolling into jagged Zugspitze peaks, dotted with castles and cowbells en route. Disembark for cable-car ascents, via ferrata hikes, or lakeside pedalo rides in crisp mountain air. Winter swaps trails for ski runs, while summer blooms with edelweiss trails.

Munich Must-see Attractions

Munich is a vibrant city that boasts a mix of historical and cultural landmarks including the lively Marienplatz, the historically rich Munich Residence, the architecturally stunning Marienplatz, the technologically advanced BMW Museum, and the iconic Allianz Arena, each offering unique insights and experiences that reflect the city’s heritage and modernity.

Munich Food Guide

Munich's culinary scene is celebrated for its traditional dishes, including the crispy and succulent pork knuckle served with sauerkraut, versatile potato dishes, and the distinctive crunchy pepper-salt pretzels that represent the local fondness for both sweet and savory flavors.

Munich Transportation

Munich is a major transport hub with excellent international connections, and travelers can arrive by plane, train, or bus from across Europe and beyond. By Plane: Munich Airport (MUC) is Germany's second-largest airport and is located about 30 km northeast of the city center. It is exceptionally well-connected to the city's public transport network. - S-Bahn (Suburban Train): Lines S1 and S8 run to the city center and Hauptbahnhof (main train station), with S1 covering the western part and S8 covering the eastern part of the city. The trip takes approximately 40 minutes. - Lufthansa Express Bus: This nonstop bus service connects the airport directly to Munich Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) and Munich North (Schwabing). The journey takes around 45 minutes to the central station. - By Taxi: Taxis are readily available at the airport. A trip to the city center typically takes about 45 minutes and costs approximately €50. By Train: Munich Hauptbahnhof is a central hub for Germany's national and international rail network, Deutsche Bahn (DB). High-speed ICE trains connect Munich to major German and European cities. By Bus: Long-distance bus services, like FlixBus, arrive at Munich's central bus station (Zentraler Omnibusbahnhof), located near the main train station. This offers an affordable alternative to train travel for connecting with other cities in Germany and Europe.

Munich Where to Stay

Accessibility to major attractions, public transportation, and local cuisine are among the features that usually govern the selection of these locales for travelers. This city blends historical charm with modern convenience to provide distinct accommodation experiences depending on the region chosen.

Munich Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Munich depends on your priorities. Still, generally, the shoulder seasons of late spring (May to June) and early autumn (September) offer pleasant weather and smaller crowds. For many, the highlight of autumn is Oktoberfest, which typically runs from late September to the first weekend in October, though this is also the busiest and most expensive period. Summer months (July and August) are warm and ideal for beer gardens and outdoor activities, but can be crowded and subject to afternoon thunderstorms. Winter (November to March) is the coldest season, with festive Christmas markets in December, while January and February offer fewer crowds and cheaper rates, along with access to nearby winter sports in the Bavarian Alps.

Munich Travel Tips

1. Plan for Oktoberfest Early If visiting during Oktoberfest, extra planning is essential due to huge crowds and high demand. Accommodation prices and demand skyrocket during the festival, so book your hotel and any tent reservations well in advance. Due to the high demand for tent access, be wary of unofficial ticket sellers or deals that seem too good to be true.  2. Understand and use local greetings While English is widely spoken, using a few Bavarian-specific phrases is a sign of respect and politeness. Try Grüss Gott instead of the more standard Hallo when greeting people in Bavaria. Servus is also a common, informal greeting. 3. Respect sensitive historical topics Munich's history during the Nazi era is a profoundly sensitive topic for many locals, and it should be approached with seriousness and respect. Never make jokes, use humor, or glorify any symbols related to Nazism or World War II. It is illegal to display Nazi symbols and gestures, and such behavior will be met with serious consequences. 4. Take precautions against petty crime Munich is a generally safe city, but like any major urban area, it's wise to take precautions against petty crime. On public transport, keep bags and backpacks in front of you. Never leave your bag unattended in a public place. 5.  Respect the Quiet Hours In Munich, it is customary to observe quiet hours, especially in residential areas. This typically means keeping noise levels down between 10 PM and 6 AM. Be mindful of this to avoid disturbing locals. 6. Master beer garden and hall etiquette In the self-service areas of beer gardens, it is a long-standing tradition to bring your own food (Brotzeit), though beverages must be purchased on-site. Don't sit at Stammtisch tables: These tables are reserved for regulars and are not for general public use unless you are explicitly invited. Respect the toast: When toasting with beer, make eye contact with the person you are clinking glasses with. It is also customary to toast with your tablemates throughout the evening, not just the first time. 7. Understand the rules for swimming in the Isar River While a refreshing summer activity, swimming in the Isar River requires caution. Swimming is only permitted in specific areas of the river. Other areas are off-limits due to dangerous currents, technical facilities, and weirs. Wear rubber sandals or old sneakers to protect your feet, but avoid flip-flops, which can come off in the strong current. Even in summer, the Isar's water temperature can be surprisingly cold, sometimes around 14°C.   8. Respect strict recycling regulations Germany is serious about recycling, and Munich has a comprehensive system that travelers should respect. Separate your waste into different bins, which are often color-coded. For instance, paper goes into the blue bin, and compostable organic waste goes into the brown bin.

Munich Useful Guide

The official language in Munich is German. However, English is very widely spoken, especially in tourist areas and among younger people. While you can easily navigate with English for most daily interactions, knowing a few basic German phrases is appreciated by locals.

Frequently Asked Questions

You must carry a passport with an expiration date that meets the destination's requirements (usually valid for at least 6 months after the cruise ends; please refer to the actual boarding information), your cruise boarding pass (e-ticket or printed copy), and any visas required by all countries/regions on your itinerary. Depending on your nationality, other identification documents (such as a residence card or national ID card) may also be required. Please confirm the final requirements with the relevant embassies or consulates and the cruise line before departure.
Modern large cruise ships are equipped with advanced stabilizers and are routed to avoid rough seas, meaning most passengers never experience noticeable seasickness. If you are prone to motion sickness, consider booking a cabin on the mid-to-lower decks where movement is minimal. Other helpful tips include packing motion sickness medication, wearing anti-nausea wristbands, and getting fresh air on open decks. Note: Medication availability at the onboard medical center varies, so please check with your specific cruise line.
The vast majority of cruises automatically charge a fixed service fee to your daily cruise card account. For specific rates and collection methods, please refer to the information published by the cruise line after boarding. This fee typically covers basic gratuities for room service, dining staff, and more. Unless you wish to tip extra for exceptional service, additional cash tips are not required. We recommend consulting the cruise line's official guidelines when booking or after boarding.
Most international cruise lines use the US Dollar as their onboard currency. Upon boarding, you will link a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.) to your cruise card. The ship operates on a "cashless" system, meaning all onboard purchases (dining, drinks, shopping, service fees) are charged directly to your account and settled at the end of the trip. While you don't need large amounts of cash on board, we recommend bringing some small bills (USD or local currency) for minor expenses and tips at ports of call.
Usually, within an hour after leaving port, your phone will connect to a maritime roaming network, which carries extremely high call and data roaming charges (often exceeding US$ 5/minute). We strongly advise putting your phone in Airplane Mode and relying solely on the ship's Wi-Fi. Most ships offer paid Wi-Fi packages. Purchasing a voyage-long package is generally much more cost-effective than paying by the day. Some luxury cruise lines include basic Wi-Fi in your fare.
Every international cruise ship is equipped with a medical center staffed by at least one internationally certified doctor and nurse. They are fully capable of treating common illnesses (colds, gastroenteritis) and minor injuries. Please note: Onboard medical care is quite expensive, and the pharmacy has limited stock. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance with cruise medical coverage and packing an ample supply of any prescription or over-the-counter medications you regularly use.
After boarding, you must attend a mandatory safety drill (usually required to be completed within 24 hours). During the drill, you will hear the ship's dedicated alarm signal. Please immediately put on your life jacket (located in your cabin closet) and follow the evacuation route map on the back of your door to your designated assembly station. Please keep in mind: Do not use the elevators, follow the crew's instructions, and stay calm. Even if you have been on multiple cruises, you must participate in the drill on every new voyage. Please refer to the ship's on-site broadcasts and guidance for the specific signal and assembly location.
On the night before disembarkation, please follow the instructions issued by the cruise line to attach baggage tags to your checked luggage (excluding clothing, documents and valuables you will need the next morning) and place it in the designated area outside your stateroom door. Keep your passport, room key card and a small amount of carry-on belongings with you. On the day of disembarkation, please vacate your stateroom before the specified time and disembark in batches as notified. Do not linger in the stateroom. Finally, check all drawers, wardrobes and the safe. For the specific schedule and baggage requirements, please refer to the "Disembarkation Guide" provided by the cruise line.

"Carnival Splendor: The Ship That’s Like a Disco Fever Dream (With Unlimited Chocolate Melting Cake)

"Carnival Splendor: The Ship That’s Like a Disco Fever Dream (With Unlimited Chocolate Melting Cake)

#cruiseholiday Hold onto your glitter, because Carnival Splendor isn’t just a cruise—it’s a floating ‘70s revival where the pink zebra-striped decor is wild, the dessert menu never ends, and the party lasts all night. I just got back, and my inner diva is still recovering. Here’s the scoop: First Impressions: Stepping into the Atrium felt like walking into a disco ball explosion—pink glass elevators, neon lights, and the smell of Pinnacle Steakhouse’s sizzling filets 🥩 mixing with Swirls’ soft-serve vanilla. The vibe? “Saturday Night Fever meets all-you-can-eat.” The “This Ship is SO Extra” Moment: The Cloud 9 Spa’s thalassotherapy pool—a giant saltwater hot tub where I melted like the chocolate cake I’d later inhale. But the real hidden gem? El Mojito Bar’s spicy watermelon mojito (ask for extra chili salt!). 🌶️🍹 Foodie Glory: Chocolate Melting Cake ruined me for all other desserts (I ate it six nights straight). But the *24-hour* Pizza Pirate’s prosciutto pie? A drunken masterpiece. 🍕 My “Disco Never Dies” Itinerary: ⏰ 9 AM: Seaday Brunch with maple bacon pancakes (because balance). ⏰ 12 PM: Twister Waterslide (screamed like I was on American Idol). ⏰ 4 PM: Serenity Deck nap (with a Miami Vice in hand). ⏰ 8 PM: Pink Zebra Lounge karaoke (Dancing Queen = mandatory). ⏰ 12 AM: Robusto Bar’s cigar lounge (felt dangerously fancy). Pro Tip: Book the steakhouse on embarkation day—it’s half-price! Also, Lido Deck’s midnight nachos are a sinful must. 🌮 Final Verdict: 20/10, left sugar-drunk, slightly hoarse, and already planning my next glitter-filled escape. Who’s ready to splurge on Splendor? 💃

🇭🇰Pilot Star・The vitality of the sea

I sincerely want to share with you that taking a cruise is really a must-try experience because it is too good to shoot and too much fun! I've been on two cruises, and every time I post or feed, my friends go crazy and ask, "Is the cruise awesome? Is it fun?" And I always have one answer – cool! 🎉 Every morning when you open the curtains, you will see an endless sea🌊, the sky and the sea are connected by a line. That healing feeling can never be found in the city. You will feel completely relieved of the pressure. My mood immediately relaxed, as if even breathing was much fresher. In addition to the scenery, life on a cruise is exciting: 🍽️ Food, basically from morning to night, the restaurant has a lot of choice, Western food, Chinese food, buffet, as well as desserts and cocktails, can completely satisfy your taste buds. 🎶 For entertainment, there will be performances, concerts, dance shows, and even a casino at night. 🏊 For leisure, you can take a dip in the pool, sunbathe on the deck, or relax at the spa. Most importantly, whether you like to take pictures or enjoy a leisurely vacation, a cruise is sure to satisfy you. Many photos I took at random, straight out without filter, has been beautiful to be 📷 Even just for these few photos, the cruise is worth the trip! What’s more, you can still see the sea and eat while feeling the vitality and romance of the sea. This is an experience that no other mode of travel can match at all. ✨ So, if you want a truly relaxing and fulfilling journey, Look no further – cruises are a must-try! #CruiseFirstExperience #CruiseTravel #CruiseVacation #HongKongCruise #RitzCruise #RitzCruiseLeadingStar #Kai Tak Cruise Terminal #Seaview #LifePhotos
