How does the member tier system work?
Your member tier is determined by the amount of tier points you have accumulated. Tier points are earned by booking hotels or flights on Trip.com. Your member tier is determined as follows:

Tier points are calculated based on the value of your booking and the type of booking you make (i.e. flights or hotels).
Booking Flights
Members earn 25 tier points for every $100 or currency equivalent spent on flights.
Booking Hotels
Members earn 80 tier points for every $100 or currency equivalent spent on hotels.
Trip.com will use the real-time exchange rate from a designated open source to convert the price at the time of transaction. Rates listed on this page are for reference only. Trip.com reserves the right to change and determine the final interpretation of these rules.
How can I advance my member tier?
Each month, we will calculate the amount of tier points you have earned during the last 12 months and determine whether your member tier should be adjusted accordingly. Member tier adjustments will be completed no later than the second day of the following month.
Starting in April 2023, Trip.com will be releasing a new membership tier validity mechanism: For users who attain a tier upgrade by completing a booking, their membership tier will be extended by 1 year starting from the date their membership tier changed. After this expires, we will then reset your membership tier according to your settlement date.Regarding membership tier validity for promotional membership trials, see the terms and conditions that are revealed at the time.
How do tier points work?
Your total tier points are used to determine your member tier. The total tier points accumulated are based on your hotel and flight booking history over the past 12 months (including the current month). Only completed bookings will earn tier points. For bookings that are canceled, tier points will be deducted accordingly.
What's the difference between Trip Coins and tier points?
Trip Coins can be earned in multiple ways such as making certain types of bookings or writing verified hotel reviews. Trip Coins can be used to save instantly on selected bookings.
Tier points can only be earned by booking hotels or flights. The number of your accumulated tier points determine whether your member tier is Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Diamond. By helping you reach a higher member tier level, you can earn more Trip Coins for your bookings and access greater hotel deals.
