People and PlacesCurated by Zaccaria SlaterUnit 3, Euston Tower, 286 Euston Road, NW1 3DP PV: Thursday 28th November 2024, 6-9pm Open: 29th November 2024 – 11th January 2025 Building on the success of the first exhibition in Hoxton in May 2024, People and Places returns with 14 emerging artists and designers, four exhibiting as part of the collective for the first time. The exhibition will take place from 29th November 2024 – 11th January 2025 at Hypha HQ Gallery in Euston, London. Drawing inspiration from Alexander Dorner and Pontus Hultén, People and Places are excited to announce People and Places: KRAFTWERK a series of workshops, events, talks and conversations that coincide with the works on display. We believe the gallery should be an open and elastic space with an emphasis on developing a creative hub to share knowledge, hear meaningful stories from within the creative industries and allow those involved in workshops to leave their own mark on the space. Each practitioner exhibiting has responded to issues from their individual habitus, with works exploring a variety of stories around climate, well-being and community. In Scope Come join us at the Private View on the 16th Jan 2025, 6-9pm at Hypha HQ In Scope pieces together a ‘sculptural ecosystem’, Bringing together insights from nature’s hidden systems and symbioses across many scales. By examining these nested systems in nature, In Scope seeks to cultivate new reflections about their entangled early origins and the interdependence between the smallest living components and the larger systems they support. Combining ancient elements like clay and sand with modern innovations such as rheoscopic fluid and printable wood fibres, the exhibition merges old and new materials to strengthen the crosstalk between human creativity and our lesser-heard natural world. The exhibition is from the 16th Jan - 22nd Feb Hypha HQ, Unit 3, Euston Tower, 286 Euston Rd., London NW1 3AS Information Source: eventbrite

Bringing together artists who live on the edge of the many scenes that straddle the fringe art landscape and find a home for the disenfranchised and optimistic alike. Information Source: eventbrite

Home Is Where The Art Is isa Group Exhibition by Grafters Collective exploring working class perspectives on the home. Curated by Jennifer Jones, Gem Bryant, Beth Seeboo and Melissa Newbery Welcome. Home Is Where The Art Is brings together the works of sixteen members of Grafters Collective to explore working-class perspectives on the home. Themes of place, family and the mundane re-occur throughout the show. Essex born artist Thomas Holland highlights the intrinsic link between location and home as The Essex (2022) displays a coat of arms on floorboards imagined to be found in the back of a fictional manor house, church or community centre in the Essex countryside. Whilst Melissa Newbery Welcome’s Fieldnotes (2025) uses the technique of phototransfer to display images of moments in London which the artist deems ‘typical’ of their home city. Lily Donaldson’s Locket (2024) emphasises the importance of family in relation to the home as the painting shows a locket which holds images of the artist’s nuclear family, prior to their separation. In Holding Them Up (2024) Vernetta Chukwu displays footballs, originally belonging to her father, hung in a rope net and intertwined with photographs from integral moments of her life. The work speaks of the artist’s family’s connection to football and to each other, commenting on the intrinsic links between ourselves and those with which we share our homes. Whilst Antonia Del Ens’ installation Being Called Extraordinary Isn’t A Compliment (2025) compiles found objects typical of a working-class British household to explore the emotional significance of mundane possessions and ‘everyday’ moments in domestic space. Audiences are invited to reflect on what home means to them as well as the significance of domesticity, family and fleeting everyday moments which may often become overlooked in a busy working lifestyle. Home Is Where The Art Is will be on show from 11th April until 16th May 2025 at Hypha HQ in Euston. A series of events organised by Grafter and exhibiting artist Elleanna Chapman will run alongside the exhibition. This will include a Curator Tour, a Workshop, two Artists in Residence, a Public Participatory Artwork and a Panel Discussion.
