OVERVIEW The Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment is dedicated to preparing dancers to work as performers, teachers, choreographers, and arts managers in the vast world of dance and entertainment. Join us July 12-18, 2026 for an exciting training opportunity for high school students interested in exploring careers in the entertainment industry. The OCU Dance - Summer Intensive is for high school students who will be rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors in fall 2026. For one week, students will experience firsthand what it is like to be a Dance and Entertainment major at the world-renowned Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment at Oklahoma City University. Dancers will partake in classes and rehearsals that focus on multiple dance techniques used in the entertainment industry, from Broadway to commercial dance. All classes are taught by OCU's nationally recognized faculty and emphasize qualities that make dancers employable in the industry, including the importance of versatility in show business, injury prevention, dance health, and professional preparation for long and successful careers in dance and entertainment management - all in a safe and brave space for exploring a variety of dance genres. At the conclusion of the intensive, parents and families are invited to join us for an in-house studio showcase at the Edith Kinney Gaylord Center on July 18, 2026 . There will be a special admission and scholarship audition for rising seniors on July 19, 2026 . This exclusive audition will allow dancers to be considered for fall 2027 admission to the Ann Lacy School at the earliest opportunity. We will have national real estate instructor, Geoffrey Long, discussing contracts, disclosures, and the broker relationship act. Local lender and instructor Aimee Dauphin will teach financing techniques. All of which will also count towards 15 hours of continuing education credit: Day 1- 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Day 2- 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM GRI Module 2: Standards of Practice Contracts and Forms: Understanding the contract is a key responsibility of a real estate professional. This course helps REALTOR® members to interpret the language used in contracts and forms to better serve their clients. 6 hours of CE Property Disclsoure: REALTORS® will understand the value of property disclosure and how it pertains to Oklahoma Real Estate Law. 1hour of CE Broker Relationship Act: Course dealing with the Oklahoma real estate licensee's legal relationship with consumers. It is designed to fully immerse the participant in Oklahoma law. Broker duties and responsibilities are set forth for all transactions including inhouse transactions. OK's law is unique, in that it abrogates and replaces the common law of agency for real estate activities in the state. The importance of a written Brokerage Services Agreement is stressed, as is the section of the law dealing with confidentiality issues and their handling under the law. 1 hour of CE Bean Counting: This course is used to familiarize the real estate professional with the importance of handling trust accounts properly and the peril when it is not handled correctly. 1 hour of CE Code of Ethics: this portion of your GRI will qualify for OREC CE, GRI credit, and your NAR requirement. 3 hours of CE DISC and your clients - how to use DISC styles to understnad yourself and your clients resulting in more effective communication. 3 hours of CE Water, coffee, and lunch will be provided to in-person attendees. **Continuing education credit and post-licensing education credit are subject to OREC approval.
